The Director of Global Sourcing will act as a central point for enterprise offshoring vendor relationships. This role will partner with business units and corporate functions to facilitate an enterprise offshoring strategy and support individual business units with their strategy. The incumbent will act as a change agent, identifying, recommending and implementing changes based on business needs. They will also work closely with the Director of Enterprise Vendor Governance to create best practice standards around risk mitigation, performance management and value creation to leverage enterprise spend and drive more strategic relationships where expected value is achieved and sustained.

Primary Responsibilities include:
· Managing enterprise level relationships for global vendors providing ITO, BPO and AD&M services.
· Implementing a portfolio approach to manage enterprise vendors aggregating demand and creating a vendor segmentation and rationalization supply model to support the changing needs. This includes creating vendor profiles and a decision matrix methodology that can be used to identify, prioritize, rank, and rationalize decisions about the resources and services in the portfolios.
· Partnering with GBTS Vendor Management to perform spend analysis and identify savings opportunities.
· Working with the business units to create standard SLA's, metrics and scorecard programs to effectively measure and manage vendor performance reducing costs and driving value across the enterprise. This includes the research, collection, tracking and reporting of performance metrics related to vendor service levels, maintaining information on vendor profiles and capabilities, and updating scorecards to support vendor portfolio management. Facilitating quarterly supplier performance reviews with business partners and vendors where reports and metrics/scorecards will be shared to drive continuous improvement. Providing senior management with periodic reporting on emerging issues affecting vendor governance and advising on overall risk profile and issues resolution.
· Performing vendor due diligence and monitoring for the offshoring portfolio to minimize duplication of efforts across the enterprise.
· Supporting the end to end sourcing process by creating standards for engaging a new vendor, creating a new engagement for an existing vendor or renewing an existing agreement or engagement. Establishing and communicating vendor governance standards, procedures, and tools for use in selecting, directing and managing relationships with offshore third parties.
· Researching industry trends and key market information for continuous improvement, delivering consulting/advisory services to provide subject matter expertise and benchmarking practices.
· Developing location strategies that are aligned with business needs
· Recommending mitigation strategies for vendor and enterprise-level risks
· Developing efficient processes and mechanisms in coordination with Legal, Risk, ISO, Compliance, Global Security and other corporate functions
· Maintaining central repository for offshore sourcing news, trends, templates and tools
· Provide training to business units on offshoring vendor management practices
· Establish strong partnerships across the business units and corporate centers to ensure active and early participation in vendor related matters as needed.

Qualifications and Skills
· BA degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent. MBA a plus.
· Recognized leader in offshore program management with 5+ year experience in sourcing and vendor management including designing overall engagement frameworks, pricing, delivery structures, portfolio management, performance management, cost management and benchmarking, and defining governance and control mechanisms, process mapping and analysis, and cost benefit analysis. Strong analytical background.
· Strong leadership, managing vision and purpose, communicating in challenging circumstances (written, verbal and presentation), interpersonal savvy/patience, problem solving and relationship management skills.
· Ability to influence peers and senior managers in partner organizations and to work across organizations to gain buy-in and build consensus to deliver on objectives
· Innovative problem solving and strategic thinking skills, along with strong business acumen and analytical capabilities
· A background or exposure to large vendor assessments as part of large deals including RFP design and selection, contract negotiation tactics and strategies
· Experience or knowledge of risk management related disciplines
· A background in processes like ITIL, CMMi, project management, or Six Sigma is a plus
· Some business related travel required

ALEX FREUND: Alex Freund had a long career working for major Fortune 500 companies in the capacity of Corporate Director. Initially, after graduating from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration he worked in hotels and hospitals. From there he moved on managing the complex challenges of feeding thousands of employees in many locations throughout the country. Alex has managed some 35 different departments also known as Facilities Administration or Support Services.

Alex has extensive experience with interviewing people. He has also practical training in career coaching. Consequently, he formed LandingExpert � Career Coaching services. He is prominent in a number of networking groups and has helped many job seekers with their career searches, providing them with tools, information, marketing material, and one-on-one preparation for the interview.
