*Cut to the Front of the Interview Line*
Carole Martin
The question is, *"How can you make yourself stand out when there are so
many other candidates looking at the same job?"*

The answer is to *"focus"* - focus on what makes *you* unique.

Let's assume that you have an outstanding resume and that you make it to the
top of the stack of resumes of people to be called for an interview. You,
and maybe nine or ten other equally qualified people for the position, that

*Career Resource: Ready Aim Hired*

The search processes and the tactics detailed in this book have made Mr.
Coon's clients highly successful as they execute their job or career
searches. Their average *salary increases range from 15% to 50% and their
job search times are under one-half the national average.*

The book is hard-hitting, no-nonsense, fact-filled, and exercise-rich. Mr.
Coon is often quoted as saying, "The purpose of an interview is not to
interview. It is to eliminate the competition." You WILL learn how to
eliminate the competition and be the last person standing in the job search
arena. Whether you are changing jobs or careers, you will find this book a
remarkable tool to use on your journey.

*Gladiator Grammar Rules*
Laura DeCarlo
*Precede vs. Proceed*

Precede: To go before.
Proceed: To go on.

e.g., "Let your companion precede you through the door, then proceed to
follow her."
