Speed Networking is a great way to equip and encourage you to proactively build a powerful network to accelerate your job search, career or business development and to measurably increase your network right on the spot!

John Hadley will show you how to make the most of every networking opportunity. He will share simple tips that will make you more effective and guide you through a series of speed networking mini-meetings.

Networking provides you access to new perspectives and resources you can draw on throughout your career, and is absolutely critical to an effective job search. However, many job seekers don't know how to do it well, and therefore find it uncomfortable. John will provide pointers you can apply on the spot to create a fun and productive evening.

Description
Database Marketing Manager
Working under the direction of the Director of Database Marketing, the Database Marketing Manager will play a key part in managing the campaign execution process, through administering the Unica environment, and providing the campaign execution analysts with the necessary campaign components to construct campaigns in a time-efficient manner.
Requirements
Key role characteristics and performance expectations:
-        Project-oriented with longer-term or ongoing responsibilities for specific functional area(s)
-          Works under own supervision with occasional direction and input
-          Able to plan and prioritize workload within boundaries of functional responsibility
-          Capable of taking on new tasks at short notice as dictated by business priorities
-          Must be action/results oriented and can deliver quality work on time and according to specification
-          Have at least 5 years working experience
-          Demonstrate a track record of planning and project management skills
-          Able to develop and maintain strong relationships inside and outside of the Database Marketing team
-          Be able to demonstrate understanding of statistical modeling and data mining methodologies
-          Have excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data analysis into actionable business insight
-          Diligent, with good attention to detail
-          Capable of quality output informed by a good understanding of client's business
-          Expected to be a self-motivated, take problem ownership and be an excellent communicator
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
-          Construction of the appropriate segments, derived variables, macros, etc. in Unica, to enable the campaign execution analysts to produce campaigns in a time-efficient manner
-          Requirement gathering from marketing users
-          Management of the Unica user environment, including the logical organization of all campaign components within Unica
-          Making recommendations and implementing process and standards improvements
-          Making appropriate recommendations on enhancements to campaign and marketing strategy
-          Management of trigger campaign execution
-          Audience analysis and segmentation
-          Where appropriate, exercising supervisory skills over one or more analysts to meet project goals
-          Working with team colleagues and IT to improve the supporting technical infrastructure
General Profile
The ideal candidate will have a mixture of strong Unica skills, coupled with a sound understanding of business strategy. In addition experience with SQL is required, and experience with SAS is preferred. A primary or graduate quantitative or business studies degree is required. Prior experience of working in the timeshare or travel industries is desirable, as is 5+ years experience with marketing campaign processes, or database marketing.

Director, Solutions Engineer

Description
Primary accountability for the conceptual design and engineering approach for complex business system solutions aligned with Annuities' architecture roadmap specifically related to the applications used by the Annuity Actuarial Organization.
Leverages current industry expertise to develop solution options, proposals, and recommendations
Develops and documents conceptual design and engineering approaches that address functional and non-functional business requirements and meet architectural standards and objectives
Ensures overall solution alignment across business capabilities
Ensures detailed design and technical implementation achieve engineering objectives
Validates technical solution designs through an in-depth understanding of technical requirements
Provides specific solution and technology expertise throughout the systems development lifecycle
Primary interface between the Delivery and Architecture teams

Responsibilities include:
Accountability for technology leadership in conceptual design and engineering approach for complex system solutions aligned with Annuities' architecture roadmap
Leveraging current industry expertise to develop solution options, proposals, and recommendations

Accountability for Architectural Review Board documentation and providing primary interface between delivery project team and Architecture, including directing and guiding the project team in the creation of the Architecture Review Board documentation throughout the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Providing technical leadership throughout the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for the implementation of initiatives, enhancements and other system changes as requested by the business partners.
Providing mentoring to the analysis and development teams throughout the systems development lifecycle by providing specific solution, technology and industry expertise.
Bringing external perspective on technology and solutions through the maintenance of knowledge of industry trends, development patterns and best practices.
Being a sounding board for Analysts/Developers/Quality Assurance and accountable for the overall design and development effort as it relates to all components of the architecture.
Being the primary interface to the architecture team and influence architectural decisions.
Accountability for influencing and adopting architectural framework and standards in engineering solutions.
Other duties and/or tasks may be assigned on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience required.
8+ years of IT based software development.
Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated expertise in high-level systems design, modeling, and implementation
Demonstrated expertise in articulating and documenting conceptual design and engineering approach
Demonstrated ability to articulate technical concepts, collaborate on design approach, and influence senior technical and business stakeholders.
Strong understanding of solution and application architecture principles
Demonstrated experience aligning systems solutions with architectural standards.
Expertise databases and programming languages (specifically Oracle, SQL Server, C##, .NET and ASP.NET)
Knowledge of JAVA and Websphere
Experience with actuarial or calculation intensive applications
Experience implementing software solutions through a structured systems development lifecycle
Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor project team members in detailed design and technical implementation.
