Position Responsibilities – Summary
The Global Execution Services team is seeking a Lead Software Engineer.
This lead role will combine quantitative and software engineering skills to
drive development and deliverables that support and forward the GES business
goals.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Lead member of this team, the individual will have the following
responsibilities:

· Partner with the GES Business and Trading Research Analysts to
understand and implement business requirements and objectives

Required Skills and Competencies:

industry, ideally with an asset manager, a hedge fund, broker or an
investment bank.
· Demonstrated understanding of equity and/or fixed income security
data structures and attributes (including those for related derivatives),
quantitative concepts, and related investment processes
· Six to eight years core servers-side Java/J2EE development
· Strong knowledge and experience with frameworks (e.g., Spring,
Hibernate)
· Strong knowledge and experience with messaging, multi-threading,
concurrency and other complex technical implementations
· Working knowledge of SQL and relational database technology
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills
· Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical

· Advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, physics,

The Fixed Income Systems team seeks an individual who will take on important
responsibilities not only to support investor-centric data model known as
Investment View, but also play a lead role to design, develop and implement
two new important initiatives IV History and Unified Transactions this year.
This individual will have responsibilities to directly work with business
analysis team to understand user requirements and then complete design,
develop and deliver new functionality to production. In order to be very
effective in this role, it is expected that this individual has a solid
understanding of complex workflow of various financial instruments e.g
Bonds, Stocks, Swaps, Futures, Forwards and Options etc. It is expected that
the individual will reach a high level of proficiency within 2 months with
IV's instrument structures, batch processes and other aspects of this data
model.
This individual is expected to be highly proficient in Oracle 11G (SQL,

environment is a big plus.
Responsibilities:

· Design, Develop and implement the resolution of moderate to
complex problems that originate from members of the business as well as
consumers of Investment View.
· Closely work with consumer of Investment View to understand the
challenges/problems faced by consuming applications and devise creative
solutions in order to overcome those issues.
· Perform a lead role to finalize technical design for IV History
and Unified Transaction projects
· Perform a lead role to finalize the technical design, development
and implementation for all ETL jobs required for IV History and Unified
Transactions project.
· Perform a lead role to troubleshoot any performance issue related
with complex SQL's used in ETL jobs and other related tools.
· Perform a lead role to work closely with other members (both
on-shore as well as off-shore) of the team to review their work on a daily
basis.
· Perform a lead role in order to deliver new features within IVPS.
· Closely work with other members of the team in order to
standardize and streamline development procedures.
· Provide leadership as Incident Commander when necessary.
· On a regular basis, evening and weekend work will be required in
order to provide routine revolving coverage, to address critical production
issues, or to provide oversight for disaster recovery testing, smoke testing
or other off-hours activities.
· Establish and maintain effective client relationships and help
guide the team in setting priorities for completion of requests or
resolution of issues.
· Manage and facilitate implementation of business solutions aimed
at investment process efficiency, data quality improvements and simplifying
investor workflow.
Required Skills and Competencies:
· Minimum of ten years of experience in IT industry with five years
experience in supporting buy-side investment systems, fund accounting,
portfolio construction, investment performance, or related systems.
· Understanding of fixed-income and derivative securities is a plus.
· Demonstrated experience in analysis and design for medium to large
initiatives.
· Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.

with supporting vendor scheduling tools and managing the data within them,

The firm's Trading System is available on a 24-hour basis, supporting

Senior Systems Analyst will contribute to all aspects of the definition,

· Excellent verbal and written communications skills
