Position: Business Development Manager (Aerospace)

The right candidate will have a proven track record in generating sales and
capturing new business and will be responsible for the growth and
maintenance of new and existing customers. The successful candidate will be
the key link between our customers and manufacturing locations, putting your
product knowledge and sales training to use to achieve profitable growth for
your assigned accounts.

Lead all sales efforts and provide customer and technical service support on
all assigned customer accounts for manufacturing and bring significant
opportunities to closure through the complete negotiation cycle with minimal
oversight.

Develop and deploy marketing and sales plans and programs for each product
and major customer.

Involved in establishing sales objectives for the sales representatives by
region consistent with the sales and marketing plan. Mentor the sales
representatives helping them develop relationships and establish a network
to meet their sales objectives.

Builds, maintains and expands network of customer relationships. Leverages
internal and external contacts to exceed customer's expectation.

Active role in developing and implementing strategies to exceed the sales
goals and objectives as it relates to existing business (customer accounts)
and new business (customers) for increased earnings and profitability. This
includes assessing needs, trends, and growth opportunities for North
American business.

Identify and recommend to the senior leadership team, new product, and
customer and market opportunities.

Serve as the "voice of the customer" to the leadership team proactively
communicating issues, risks and opportunities as well as providing potential
solutions.

Track metrics and provide detailed sales forecasts for annual plan and
periodic updates of current business and forecasted new programs.

Qualifications:
Minimum of seven to ten years of proven success in technical sales and at
least 5 years of experience in the aerospace industry. Understanding of the
aerospace industry operations and manufacturing process required.

Proven track record executing successful sales plans. Creative thinker who
can contribute to the overall sales strategy.
Impeccable integrity, strong influencing and negotiation skills;
unparalleled focus on customer service and effectively able to interact with
all levels within the organization and the customer's organization.
Results oriented individual with a sense of urgency, diplomatic,
well-organized and exhibits excellent writing and communication skills.

Up to 50% travel required. Established customer-base preferred.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required in engineering, business, or marketing. MBA or
advanced degree preferred.

General Information
Position Title: Corporate Accountant Senior – Accounting Policy (Research & Compliance) Division: Financial and Management Reporting
Department & Location: Corporate Accounting Reports to (Title): Controller
The position of Corporate Accountant Senior - Accounting Policy (Research & Compliance) is responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of the Company's accounting policies and procedures and financial reporting controls, as well as, researching and assessing the impact of new accounting guidance, regulatory and financial reporting issues and specific transactional issues under all bases of accounting. In addition, this positon is responsible for supporting the Controller and Assistant Controller in managing the financial closing process, including the review and analysis of the quarterly/annual financial statements and special projects.

Major Accountabilities
1. Responsible for the ongoing development, maintenance and compliance with the Company's accounting policies and procedures and financial reporting controls.
2. Monitor, research and assess the impact of new authoritative accounting guidance, current and evolving accounting, regulatory and financial reporting issues, and specific transactional issues under all bases of accounting (GAAP, Statutory, IFRS, Delaware Insurance Code, etc.).
3. Perform the financial reporting closing process, including review and analysis of the quarterly/annual GAAP and Statutory financial statements, the interpretation and implementation of new accounting guidance and financial reporting disclosures. Interact with Financial Reporting, external auditors and regulators regarding technical accounting issues, questions and financial statement audits/examinations.
4. Act as subject matter expert and provide technical accounting advice to divisional financial management, underwriting personnel and operational accounting areas for risk transfer analysis and other technical accounting questions. Review and analyze technical accounting issues, research requests and other special projects, as required.
5. Manage assigned special projects requiring project management and technical accounting expertise, including local implementation projects to meet new regulatory requirements/changes (e.g. the Model Audit Rule/MARSOX, Solvency II), mergers/acquisitions and related integration activities, complex transactions and other global/local system projects, as assigned.




6. Participate in key industry groups to monitor accounting and regulatory issues and trends. Support lobbying activities through various U.S. trade organizations and interested party groups. Develop and coordinate positions on regulatory and accounting topics with legal and other financial/operating areas.
7. Provide periodic technical accounting/regulatory development updates, technical training, special project updates and presentations to FMR senior management, divisional financial management and various financial reporting/operational areas, as required.
8. Supervise two direct reports supporting the above activities.
Dimensions: Describe the monetary impact or scope of the position. Examples of this can be given in terms of budget dollars, gross/net premiums written, base payroll of employees supervised, dollar volume or number of claims handled, equipment costs, etc. (Not all of these factors may be applicable for every position.)
The individual filling this position will be responsible for managing staff/providing requisite technical accounting expertise in support of the technical accounting, financial reporting and closing processes noted above. The impact of such efforts are in support of a group of companies which have combined statutory assets of approximately $16 billion and net premium written of $3 billion as of December 31 2011.

Scope Of Accountabilities: Briefly describe the position's greatest challenges or problems or those opportunities with which decision making and/or creative skills must be applied.

This is a highly technical accounting position with significant visibility within the organization. The individual must have extensive knowledge of (i) financial closing processes and the financial reporting life cycle, (ii) GAAP, Statutory and IFRS financial accounting principles and disclosures and (iii) internal control frameworks and principles. In addition, the individual must have the ability to (iv.) review and analyze complex technical accounting issues, (v) manage multiple deliverables and projects in tight time frames and (vi) communicate complex topics (in both written and verbal form) to all levels of management.



Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting/Finance/Business
Minimum 10 years of experience in the insurance, reinsurance and/or financial services industry
"Big 4" Accounting Firm experience preferred
CPA or similar license
Knowledge of statutory, GAAP and IFRS accounting principles/guidance
Excellent written and oral communication skills - as written documents and frequent presentations are to be provided to senior level management
Strong analytical skills, project management skills and ability to provide a consulting perspective
Abilty to work with other co-workers under challenging timeframes and due dates
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with SAP system software
