The group is led by Senior Vice President Mark Livingston and is organized in a matrix fashion with leaders within the group reporting jointly to Mark and their respective business unit leaders.
Position Description
• Experience with requirement gathering and analysis process in a client-facing role; experience of creating functional specification documents; excellent oral and written communication skills
• 2 - 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Consultant, Senior Consultant or Manager in the financial services, banking, consumer lending or mortgages area
• Experience working at:
o Major management consulting organizations,
o Consulting divisions of technology vendors serving clients in Capital Markets domain,
o Business / technology divisions of Investment Banks, or
o Capital Market product companies
• Subject matter expertise in one of the following: Capital Markets, Asset & Wealth Management or Derivatives
• Ability to diplomatically challenge concepts and tackle large, complex tasks; ability to lead consulting assignments; and project or program management skills desirable
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; strong team player
• Experience in designing road map at Project Initiation
• Ability to formulate and define systems scope and objectives for moderately complex projects
• Ability to identify & define client's business problem and corresponding solution areas (process/people/infrastructure/other)
• Understands the interdependencies/implications between various client groups e.g. business users/technology/operations/client service etc. for a problem area/probable solution
• Ability to lead a team of 5+ analysts. Assist with IT work plans, schedules; project estimates, resource plans and status reports
• Aware of industry standard financial products (Front/Middle/Back office business areas)
• Ability to consider business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment; identifies risks
• Ability to play a key role in proposals independently. Ability to sell consulting engagements

Desired Skills
Must-have-

• Experience in OTC Derivatives (forwards, F/X forwards, Forward Rate Agreements, SWAPS – interest rate and credit default)
• Competency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word; technical background desirable but not essential; and competency in VBA / SQL / Visio will be helpful
• Undergraduate degree in finance, economics or science; background in engineering / technology / mathematical discipline preferred; formal training / certifications in finance (MBA / MS – Finance, CFA, Series 7, FRM, etc. is not required but preferable)
• Understands business processes involved for Trade Life Cycle - Order Routing, Allocation, Execution, Monitoring, Confirmation, Exception, Settlement,etc.
• Order entry attributes of OTC derivatives
Knowledge of Trade Reconciliation, Trade Correction & Cancellation along with its impact on Reporting

Nice to have-
• Understand Fund Accounting concepts and business process e.g.NAV calculation and processing, Partnership Accounting
• Aware of key processes in Financial Reporting, Pricing, end-of-day and Month-end valuations
• Aware of various kinds of Fees (Fund level & Investor level) and complexity points of each - Performance Fee, Management fee, Incentive Fee, Admin Fee, etc.
• Knowledge of Multi currency environment - Settlement and Reporting currency different
• Understands Performance Analysis and Attribution calculation and reporting
• Understands various Risk adjusted Performance measurement

• Lead / manage a team of associate consultants / consultants
• Function as a bridge between client business organization and technology teams
• Support business development initiatives and develop Cognizant value proposition in proposals / presentations

• Draft BRD / Process Maps
• Lead requirement workshops
• Test Plan and Test case drafting
• Estimate effort for project and task
• Ability to cross sell across organization
• Direct team to create various domain artifacts
• Develop and nurture relationship in client organizations
• Ensure creation of high quality deliverables
