Subject: The Swan Group - Sales and Marketing IT PM (contracting role)

Dear John,

How are you doing? Thought I would touch base regarding a role that we are
working on in the Princeton area. This position is an hourly (Corp to Corp)
contracting role where they need someone who has some good IT PM skills
along with an understanding of Mobility support to a sales and marketing
group.

Let me know if you can think of anyone that fits such a role. I would be
glad to reach out to them to see if they would fit.

Regards,
Steve

Subject: HIRING: Director of Mobile Engineering

We are conducting a search for a Director of Mobile Engineering.
Candidates must have built really great apps for the iPhone or Android and
be able to lead the development of building apps for the iPad, tablet, etc.
Need someone who can spend half their time coding and the rest of the time
reviewing code, making architectural decisions, collaborating with product
and design folks while leading and building a team of 4-8 iOS and Droid
developers.  CEO is willing and able to put together the right package for
the right candidate.  The focus is on hiring the best candidate.  This is a
key position.

Not everyone can free fall from space in a jump suit ... but some actually
do.  And we're looking for "those guys!"  Our client is not offering just a
job opportunity but a chance at a real adventure.  They fully realize that
few will be up for an intellectual challenge of this magnitude.  But for
those that have the hutzpah to look down the rabbit hole and really test
themselves, he/she will fundamentally change how people collaborate and
communicate across the social enterprise.

The company is literally going to "crack" the collaboration code for
mobile, providing a rich user experience that syncs across all technologies
and is powered by a single server at the core.  They love solving the tough
problems; the ones that extend across multiple organizations; those
requiring "special forces" deep into the night. The company's founder has
already done it before, recently selling his last company (where he was
primary owner) for over $100m. With deep pockets from the transaction and a
team of 33, he has now brought on a CEO to build out the organization and
move from stealth to market.

Their small development team has already built many of the pieces, and is
now looking for that special leader who can both play and coach.  They're
looking for someone who loves working with user data and how can bring the
best of technology into "the discussion."  Most important, the company
wants someone who wakes up every day wanting to climb the next Mount
Everest.  If you are thrilled at the chance of reaching the summit, doing
that which cannot be done, and personally flipping the next page on tablet
communications, this may just be your moment!

Topic : "The Art of Influence: Getting Things Done When You Are Not In Charge"

Date: Thursday, November 8, 2012

Presentation Summary :
The ability to influence others is the key to personal and
professional success. Nowhere is this more important than in IT where
leaders must bring together people with a variety of perspectives,
values, and goals to create a common solution. Too often, IT leaders
rely on positional authority, process, and "being the expert" to drive
support. While we all yearn for more power and control, this isn't how
leaders work. Whether you are an intern, clerk, or CEO, influence is
the key to success. This session will explore the relationships
between power, process, politics, and promotion to provide proven
methods to increase your organizational influence.

Key takeaways:
Why people resist change and what you can do about it
How it increase your personal power
Models for organizational change
