DESCRIPTION

Our client is seeking a Scrum Master who will organize and facilitate
project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint
and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings. The individual
must have the interpersonal and communication skills to tactfully remove
impediments, keep the team's work moving forward efficiently and work with
other management, developers, product owners and technical support
specialists to ensure that the team's work backlog is aligned with the
sprint goals. The Scrum Master serves as an example of a team player and a
coach who motivates the team to reach their highest potential and who
promotes self-management and constantly improving standards of work.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

. Serve as liaison between technical and non-technical departments.
Communicate with other management, developers, product owners and technical
support specialists on product issues.

. Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-up meetings,
reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other
Scrum-related meetings. Track and communicate team velocity and
sprint/release progress. Maintain process documentation. Ensure the
development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration,
prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.

. Assist as needed with backlog maintenance. Assist with internal and
external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
Assist with prioritization and resolution of defects / bugs.

. Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team
standards, tools, and best practices. Identify and remove impediments,
prevents distractions and other obstacles to success. Facilitate discussion
and conflict resolution. Empower the team to self-organize.

. Other duties that may be assigned

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS


* Four-year college diploma or university degree in computer science
or related engineering field and/or 10 years of equivalent work experience.

* 3+ years of project management experience and/or Scrum Master
experience.

* Thorough understanding of agile software development methodologies,
values, and procedures.

* Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle.

* Understanding of organization's development platform and languages.

* Ability to understand technical issues.

* Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks
as delegated.

* Team-player with the ability to work within a collaborative
environment.

* Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse
personality types.

* Ability to coach the team to reach their highest potential.

* Creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex,

Title: Sr. BI Microstrategy Developer
Location: Milford, CT

Perm Position

Overview

Our client is seeking a BI Microstrategy Developer who will be responsible
for the development and administration of BI solutions utilizing the
Microstrategy platform. This role will be responsible for architecting and
developing solutions that are high performing and reliable. The person must
have a strong understanding of Business Intelligence and data warehousing
methodologies and concepts.

Responsibilities:

. Design and develop complex schemas, objects, reports and dashboards
to meet the business requirements in a global environment. Build and/or
enhance attributes, metrics, filters prompts and other objects.

. Collaborate with business partners to define requirements and
reporting specifications and provide technical report assistance. Support
end user training and provide second-line support for users who develop
reports on behalf of their departmental colleagues.

. Validate reporting results against requirements. Troubleshoot and
analyze data issues within reports.

. Work with the ETL team and business operational teams to understand
data sources and implement new requirements.

. Ensure optimal end-user performance by establishing and
consistently executing overall system performance assessment processes and
associated action plans

. Guide and mentor other Business Intelligence/Reporting team
members.

Required Skills and Experience:


* Bachelor of Science in CS, EE, or equivalent work experience

* Must have 4+ years of experience in the complete suite of
Microstrategy (Intelligence Server, Administrator, Architect, Desktop and
Web Designer, Distribution Services).

* At least 1 year experience using Microstrategy v9.0 or higher.

Experience should include:

. 2+ years of Microstrategy Schema Modeling

. 3-5 years in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence

. Designing and developing complex reports/dashboards utilizing
templates, filters, prompts, and custom grouping

. Development of attributes, facts, advanced prompts, metrics.

. Experienced using Enterprise Manager to review performance
statistics and make appropriate configuration changes based on findings.

. Object promotion.

. Comprehensive knowledge of Data Warehouse methodologies

. Extensive SQL experience with relational databases such as Teradata
and MS SQL Server.

. Familiarity with Microsoft BI Tools (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS)

. Ability to translate business questions and requirements into
reports, cubes and dashboards

. Extensive experience with SQL and relational and multidimensional
designs

. Very Strong communication and problem-solving skills
