High Impact Learning & Networking Summit

For Professionals in Transition

November 28, 2012 from 1 to 6 @ the Park Avenue Club, Florham Park, NJ

So many professionals in New Jersey have been impacted by the slumping
economy, unable to find an appropriate new job. Our Foundation decided to
organize a November 28th event that will motivate, provide direction,
guidance and networking connections to professionals stuck in this
"Employment Limbo" position - the majority through no real fault of their
own.

Appropriate Attendees.....include women and men who: have been downsized;
are stay at home parents wanting to get back into the workforce; are recent
or June '13 college graduates in search of their first career opportunity;
and returning military personnel needing to get their civilian lives back in
order.

The Agenda ..... will be broken into a series of panel discussions led by
experts with real hands-on career development knowledge to share with
professionals in transition, e.g.

* 3 Career coaches will talk about the guidance and direction they
provide
* 2 Social media experts will focus on the use of Linkedin and
Facebook in the search process
* 2 HR leaders will explain how the digital age has changed the way
they go about recruiting
* 2 Networking coaches will focus on networking being a key skill
needed to effectively search

The last panel on the program will include 4 professionals in various stages
of their own professional transition including one who recently landed a new
& better opportunity, one who gave up searching and started her own new
business and two who are mid way through the search process.

The agenda, with refreshments provided, also includes adequate time for
attendees and panel leaders to network and share ideas, opportunities,
experiences and wisdom.

Panel Discussion Leaders include (others are expected to be added) ...

* Independent Career Coaches - Joe Caso and Mike Palestina
* HR Leaders -Connie Ward (Global Resources) and Lora Boltniew
(Deloitte)
* Social Media Consultants -David Deutsch and Lisa Marie Dias
* Networking Coaches - Jack Killion and Andy Bluestone
(Bluestone+Killion)
* Professionals in Transition - Craig Rowles, Sunny Youn, Gregg Russo
and Karen Van Blarcum

Other Beneficiaries from the Summit...the Park Avenue Club which is owned by
11 local charities is hosting the event and will receive payment for
providing the facility and refreshments. The Garden State Woman Education
Foundation will receive financial support from the Summit for its
scholarship fund that supports the 4 year college education of exceptional,
deserving inner city your women.
