POSITION OBJECTIVE
To represent Metro-North Railroad in the field during the construction phase of Capital Programs and any other construction work on Railroad property, protecting the Company's interests and ensuring safety in all aspects thereof.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical review and inspection of contractor's means and methods for Capital Projects.
Maintain project records, reports and minutes of meetings.
Manage and coordinate with consultant's field personnel on Capital Projects.
Coordinate the construction work by contractors to assure compliance with entry agreements and to ensure safety.
Coordinate all Operations and M of W Force Account work for construction projects.
Supervise the work of railroad inspectors.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with engineering, construction and surveying practices, contractor's construction methods and basic engineering principles. (For example: crane rigging, pipe jacking, rock blasting, excavation, bridge construction, sandblasting, tension and compression on a truss, stress/strain relationships, live load effects on sheeting and tunneling).
Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and/or comparable applications.
Familiarity with Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling.
Oral and Written interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to interact with internal/external customers.
Project Management skills with adherence to deadlines.
Valid Driver's license.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Demonstrated equivalent experience, education and/or technical credentials may be considered in lieu of degree.
Minimum 2 years experience in construction management.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Engineer in Training (EIT) desirable.
National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) desirable.
OTHER INFORMATION
This position is safety sensitive and subject to toxicological testing.
SELECTION CRITERIA
To be selected for a position, an applicant must: (1) meet the minimum requirements in the job posting, (2) pass a written examination (if applicable), (3) satisfy a background investigation (which includes credit, if applicable), and (4) pass an oral interview, during which the interviewers will further evaluate the applicant's qualifications for the position. Because the selection process is competitive, not all qualified applicants are granted an interview. Metro-North may also require the applicant to undergo a physical ability test, and, if the Company extends a conditional offer, may require him or her to undergo a medical examination, which may include toxicological testing.
For applicants who are current employees, you must be in active service and have worked in your present position for at least one year to be eligible to apply for a posted position. In addition, Metro-North employees are also subjected to an internal investigation, which includes an evaluation of their safety and discipline records, their performance assessments, and of their time and attendance records (including early quits and late starts) for the preceding 30 months. During the 30 month review period, the maximum number of occurrences allowed is 15, and the maximum number of patterns allowed is 8. (An "occurrence" is any absence or consecutive absences of four or more hours, and a "pattern" is an absence preceding or following rest days, holidays, vacation days, etc.) For employees with fewer than 30 months of service, the entire period of their employment is reviewed, and the maximum allowable number of incidents is pro-rated. Absences excused in accordance with Company Operating Procedures are not included for purposes of assessing whether attendance is satisfactory. If occurrences and/or patterns exceed the maximums allowed, the employee's attendance is deemed unsatisfactory, and he or she is disqualified from further consideration, even if he or she has not been previously warned about his/her attendance.

Our client is seeking a Vice President of Finance who will oversee all areas of Finance and provide direction regarding company objectives, policies, and financial results of the company.
Qualifications
* Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
* Partner with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare operational financial reports, forecasts, and similar financial ad hoc reports.
* Provide financial analysis to CFO
* Create budgets and forecasts for upcoming period(s) and year(s)
* Produce weekly and monthly reports on volume, sales, realization, and other key performance indicators
* Manage, direct, and coordinate the monthly closing cycle i.e., updating files, numerous accruals and adjusting entries, in order to have a timely, accurate and complete representation of our financial results.
* Manage and contribute to the post closing operational analysis in order to identify/evaluate variances and providing narratives on those variances.
* Using the existing Operational Excellence structure, develop a roadmap for improvement for the Finance Organization
* Work closely with IT to generate improvements of data flow, systems, tasks, and processes to speed results of the Finance Team and provided all needed data on a timely basis.

Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to be involved in planning,
designing, development and implementation of mission critical business
systems/ processes and organizational functions that are required to be
operational 7x24 to support core functional areas of Marketing, Development
and Commercial Operations (MD&CO).
Key responsibilities:
. Day to day activities effecting critical software applications,
including web development, 4th generation languages, databases, EDI, , and
SCADA operations; development of strategies to improve existing systems.
. Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of the business processes,
systems, and applications;
. Recommend solutions for mandated business processes, systems, and
applications from business specifications and integrate implementation with
existing business computer applications.
. Leverage critical business processes, systems, applications, and
level of support to permit the MD&CO department to meet its corporate and
regulatory goals and objectives while ensuring that service level commitment
between the Informational Technology department and MD&CO is met. This
includes investigating, recommending and utilizing software development
tools and packages.
Required:
B.S./B.A. in Computer Science or related degree
. Expert in systems analysis, design, and development techniques.
. 3 - 8 years of experience in client-server and or web applications
development, developing and interpreting business and user requirements into
effective and efficient specifications, business processes, systems, and
applications as well as designing and developing web objects
. PHP
Plus:
. Solutions will involve the following disciplines:
- Web Development Concepts, Environments, Software and Languages (HTML,
CSS,OOP, PHP, JSON, Zend Framework, JavaScript Frameworks {Ext JS, J
Query});
- Client-server development and support,
- Object-oriented design and development (PowerBuilder Suite;
PowerBuilder Foundation Classes that are being replaced with OOP, PHP),
- Database design, development and operations, Microsoft Relational
Database Technologies (SQL Server; ANSI Standard SQL)
- Electronic Data Interchange Concepts (QualEDI),
- FileMaker;
- BIQuery,
- Citrix /MetaFrame Concepts,
- Microsoft Windows Environment; Microsoft Office Suite,

Job Description:
We are seeking a Vice President of Finance to coordinate and supervise financial functions and interactions between financial departments of Bayonne Medical Center, a 278-bed acute care hospital located in Bayonne, New Jersey.
As a Vice President of Finance at Bayonne Medical Center, you will report to the Chief Financial Officer, supervise the Director of Budget and Reimbursement, Director of Treasury Services, Director of Accounting and Director of Health Information Management, and collaborate with Executive Staff and Department Heads to address reimbursement issues operating and capital budgets, payroll, and union contracts, and construction of financial statements.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Preparing the annual budget presentation, analysis, and information required for Board approval.
* Supervising accounting and ensuring that the Accounting and Budget Departments work closely with Department heads to construct monthly variance analysis.
* Assisting in development of an all-inclusive strategic plan that will evaluate the financial effects of initiatives and trends, both internal and external, on the hospital.

* Balancing short-term and long-term objectives to maximize the financial performance of the medical center.
Job Requirements:
As a Vice President of Finance, you must have experience in successfully developing and negotiating support agreements with hospitals. You must also demonstrate understanding of medical center budget development and management: billing operations, reimbursements, financial contracts, and consulting agreements.
Qualifications include:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA/MBA/MHA preferred
