Early stage start-up firm with game changing mobile speech technology is
seeking a Product Manager. This is an opportunity to shape the development
of my client's v1.0 release of speech based intelligent interfaces. Initial
products will support field service applications in both localized and cloud
based environments interfacing with corporate CRM and other sophisticated
information management systems.

My client is breaking new ground in the applicability of speech-based
systems. To accomplish this they are innovating along two primary paths-
dynamic content creation for use by a speech system and dialog system
development. They are focused on solving large economic problems at global
companies. Their initial pilots with a global medical equipment manufacturer
is running at present and exceeding expectations.

Success will require a lot of highly creating thinking, energy and risk
taking. Therefore, the firm places a premium on superior talent and are
rewarding the team with the opportunity to shape a global enterprise
solution, a dynamic work environment with access to world-class advisors,
and substantial upside performance participation.

Reports to the CEO.

Position Responsibility Summary:

· Work directly with customers and prospects to understand market
requirements and translate them into product functionality

· Work with cross-functional team to assist in bringing product to
market

· Develop ROI scenarios for all target segments

· Actively manage pilot deployments with customers insuring
successful meeting of developed goals

· Develop and execute strategic marketing plan and associated
tactical elements

· Monitor and evaluate competitive activity and intellectual
property for opportunities and threats.

Required Skills and Competencies - (Must Haves):

· MBA from a top 10 program

· 3 years post-MBA experience of increasing responsibility

· Have brought to market a truly innovative enterprise software
product

· Experience working with directly with customers (not through
research firms) to understand needs and define product requirements.

· Track-record of effectively leading cross-functional teams that
include software development resources

· Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills; able to influence
and foster cooperation within a working group or team

· Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to wear multiple hats

· Desire to be in the market, not in the office

· Comfortable presenting in front of small and large groups of
people

· Willingness to travel 20% of the time

Pluses - (The More the Better):

· BS in Computer Science or similar

· Execution of enterprise level programs with Oracle or SAP global
partners (e.g. Accenture, Cap Gemini, etc…)

· Understanding of the knowledge management industry

· Experience rolling out a new product on a global level

· Experience with Speech Recognition or Mobile Products

· Understanding of best in class customer support strategies

Our next AITP meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 11 at Jim Johnston's Steak
House in Roseland.  This month's topic is "Moving Your Application
Infrastructure to the Private Cloud." It is based on an actual ongoing
hardware and application migration to the cloud by a major financial
institution. This is real life stuff and not a technical tutorial. I think you
will like it and I hope you can make the meeting, and please consider bringing
a colleague or friend.

Moving
Your Application Infrastructure to the Cloud - Francesco Puntillo
===================================================
The
presentation will cover a high level overview of the hardware and application
migration by MetLife to the private cloud. The project also faced the challenge
of replacing an aging infrastructure. This will not be a sales pitch type
presentation. Instead, it will be delivered by the individual at MetLife who is
responsible for managing the migration to a cloud-based environment hosted by
CSC.
 
The Speaker
=========
Francesco
Puntillo is
a 25 year IT veteran of the financial services industry. After starting his
career at IBM Mr. Puntillo went on to work for Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase,
and Merrill Lynch before joining MetLife. He graduated from NYU with a double
major in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. He also earned an MS in
Computer Science from Syracuse University. Outside of his professional life Mr.
Puntillo enjoys home remodeling and landscaping. He lives in Rockland County,
NY with his wife and two sons.

This

Job Title : SAS Reporting Analyst
Location: NYC
Duration: 3-6 month contract

Job Description:

We are looking for a Business Analyst with hands-on SAS experience.
Familiarity with the Workbench and Strategic Planner is a plus. This
person will be responsible for creating reports within the system,
tweaking current workflows within the system, developing new workflows
within Workbench, and implementing the use of Strategic Planner.

The individual will support the following activities:

· Develop comprehensive measurement and analytics for multi
marketing programs and strategic initiatives

· Provide ad hoc support to members of Program Development and
Analytics with technology, ad hoc reports

· This role requires strong reporting, analytical skill,
experience in advanced SAS programming and skills in pulling data from a
relational database.

· Major Responsibilities:

· Accurately report customer and agent/agency data.
· Gather business objectives and requirements for new workflows
from Marketing Managers within the department.

· Provide analysis to determine availability of data and provide
recommendations for reporting during report planning stages.

· Identify data needs for reporting and work with managers and IT
to fill data gaps

· Develop, audit, obtain user acceptance, generate and distribute
reports on a scheduled basis.

· Support maintenance of production data and reporting
environments - Recommend, develop, and coordinate with IT to implement
technology solutions and infrastructure changes required to support
ongoing reporting needs

· Projects as requested by manager

Education/Experience:

· 1-3+ years relevant SAS configuration/programming work
experience and Strong IT/analytical skills

· Advanced experience with Access, Excel and SAS/SQL
· Good understanding of data warehouses, structures and database
programming is a plus

· Ability to meet strict deadlines
