Network Engineer Cisco - 13-10265

Location: Brewster, NY

Position Type: Contract
Genuent is hiring a Network Engineer for its direct client. This is
a contact position with a great company, pay and benefits. You will work on
multiple projects for many clients in the Hudson Valley Region. You must
have a strong desire to keep up on the latest technologies and working with
a broad base of clients. Qualified candidates should send their resume

Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

- Assist with install/project data collection during the course of the
project.
- Work independently on certain projects/installs and in a team
environment handling a range of technical situations.
- Install, monitor, and maintain client networks from simple
environments to complex multi-site networks and support which may be hands
on or remote.
- Resolve service delivery and client issues as needed.
- Identify and escalate business and technical challenges as appropriate.
- Keep accurate, timely and thorough client site documentation.
- Meet with colleagues, managers and account managers regarding account
status, ongoing issues and opportunities.
- Attend and participate in regularly scheduled team meetings.
- Available for on-call and emergency response as needed.
- Identify and recommend improvement opportunities that are consistent
with client needs. Off-hour work and overnight travel may be required.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism with customers, vendors and
staff.

Qualifications:

- A minimum of four years of experience in the implementation, design,
and/or maintenance of converged networks utilizing Cisco products.
- Hands on knowledge and experience designing, configuring and
maintaining of complex technology solutions is preferred.
- Can support intermediate level router configurations and is well
versed in Layer 2 & 3 switch configurations.
- Can support intermediate level SAN configurations and is well versed
in VMWare and Citrix.
- Can support technology products in the areas of Network Infrastructure
(Core & Remote) switches and routers, Firewall/VPN Security, and Wireless
systems.
- Can utilize network diagnostic tools such as Sniffer to troubleshoot
network problems. Cisco CCNA/CCDA is preferred.
- Excellent customer service management skills.

*Job Description / **Responsibilities:*
The Infrastructure Engineer evaluates, installs and supports all hardware
and software in our datacenter environments. This individual�s primary
responsibility is ensuring the security, 24X7 availability,
and functionality of client�s datacenters and all equipment used within.

- Responsible for documentation, installation, configuration and
management of all aspects of the
- network architecture
- Responsible for the installation , support and maintenance of all
servers and equipment within the two client�s datacenters (ASP environment)
- Responsible for pro-active performance monitoring, uptime and SLA
reporting
- Help define and implement overall network security strategies,
procedures and implementation of related devices.
- Assists the IT team in defining, documenting and implementing
necessary steps to improve network
- architecture and security
- Develops standards and policy procedures for routing security
auditing, assessments, and penetration testing on and regular schedule
- Interfaces with IT and engineering to plan, define and implement
future technologies for improved security and performance of the Client�s
ASP product line
- Evaluate new and emerging technologies for use at Client Site

*Requirements:*

- College degree preferred, ideally in computer science or related
field, however strong and highly relevant experience may be considered in
lieu of education
- Professional certification with Cisco and Microsoft preferred
- Expert understanding of TCP/IP routing, addressing, Cisco IOS and
devices.
- Advanced Experience working with VMWare and virtualized environments.
- Strong SAN experience
- Strong working knowledge of SNMP, WMI and network monitoring tools
- Experience working for an ASP in a 24X7 production datacenter
environment
- High proficiency with administration and support of all Microsoft
operating systems
- Creative problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to effectively communicate complex and detailed concepts to
others
- Strong scripting skills are a plus
- Extensive active directory experience

Translations Oversight Manager (PWR8203) –12 Month Contract

LOCATION:
Role can be based out of Collegeville, PA, NYC or Groton, CT (candidate's choice)
 
DESCRIPTION:
 
 
* The Translations Oversight Manager (TOM) manages the workflow, tracking and oversight of labeling text prepared by Hub Labeling Managers (HLMs), to worldwide translations Vendor(s). The TOMs work across sites and countries to ensure translated labeling is delivered according to pre-agreed schedules and to service level agreements.
* The TOM role liaises closely with Vendors and Company Medical Functional Lines, including WSRO Operational Excellence and WSRO Procurement, to gain intimate knowledge of Vendor capabilities and capacities.
* The TOM is also involved in ongoing assessment of Vendor operational performance so that workflow can be proactively managed and Vendor selection changed to meet business needs.
* May lead or contribute to continuous improvement teams to implement changes to comply with labeling translation submission requirements, or improved systems to manage translations.  
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures that all labeling translations jobs initiated by the HLMs have been picked up by the designated Labeling Translations Vendors and that the resulting translations are delivered back to the HLMs on time
 
 
* Monitor internal tracking systems to ensure that the status of every labeling translation is visible and overseen through to completion and entered into the correct location in the Company document management system.
* Proactively manage Vendors as due dates get nearer so that potential delays can be eliminated
* Ensure that Vendors adhere to Service Level Agreements on turnaround time and quality, and liaise with Vendors to ensure that internal Vendor metrics are provided to Company on an agreed schedule and on request
* Ensure that every country and labeling document has an up to date default Vendor listed in the Company document management system so that jobs can be routed efficiently to them by the HLM
* Make changes to default Vendor lists in response to operational performance metrics, and liaise with WSRO Operational Excellence to initiate changes to contracts, as appropriate
* Oversight of total vendor translations volumes, capabilities and remaining capacity, so that work can be managed most effectively at times of peak demand
* Assess internally gathered metrics on vendor performance and work collaboratively with Medical Documentation and Labeling, Company Country Offices, and Submissions colleagues to highlight issues of concern to appropriate stakeholders
* Work with other translation coordinators to ensure all product activity adequately covered for HLMs worldwide
* Trouble shoot vendor issues as required
* Ensures that the work climate/culture within the team exemplifies the Company Values and "One Voice"  
REQUIREMENTS:
 3 – 5 years previous experience in a labeling role or vendor management role with some of that specifically related to translations
 
 
* Experience working in global/multi-national pharmaceutical environment and working in drug development
* Demonstrated problem solving and advanced project management skills as well as attention to detail required
* Proven ability to function autonomously at all levels and in a team environment
* Proven accountability, and demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, communication, negotiation, influencing, and problem-solving capabilities
* Must be able to work independently in complex matrix team environments and have demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams
* Demonstrated presentation skill
