REQ:  Minimum 2-3 years' work-related experience in product and/or project role or
equivalent within the financial services industry. Experience with any 
or all of the following: Mutual Funds, Retirement & College
Planning, Personal Trust Services, Charitable Giving products, Banking
Services, and Research for the RIA marketplace.
Our client is a leading provider of comprehensive brokerage and custody
services to more than 4,000 fee-based, Independent Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and their clients. The company provides a robust
offering of products, programs and services designed to help advisors
build their businesses. Additionally, the company provides custody,
clearing, and other services to third-party administrators and
corporations.
Role:
The Sr. Product Specialist will support one or more product discipline(s),
possibly including but not limited to Mutual Funds, Retirement &
College Planning, Personal Trust Services, Charitable Giving products,
Banking Services, and Research for the RIA marketplace. This includes
the coordination of business requirements and processes, maintaining key vendor relationships, and ongoing reporting and monitoring to track
product trends, monitor usage and adjust plans as needed. The Sr.
Specialist will also be responsible for ongoing competitor analyses, and developing ideas for new competitive tools and research to provide
clients with the top product offering in the RIA industry.
 
Responsibilities:
·         Assist in the development and implementation of product business plans, annual goal setting, and product reviews for new and existing product sets.
·         Execute complex activities to implement products and programs designed to exceed growth, retention and yield goals.
·         Manage the day-to-day product activities for the assigned product set
·         Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors, making vendor product offerings available to RIAs.
·         Interpret information and data provided by internal resources, technology,
reporting, analysis and data partners, business unit leaders and
vendors; prepare plans, steps and resources to achieve results.
·         Work with the Business Analytics group to define reporting requirements for
product set. Develop business requirements, analyze the resulting
reports
·         Develop PowerPoint presentations on key metrics such as client sales, product
utilization, revenue and trends for use by management.
·         Participate in enterprise-wide programs that help resolve operational and technological issues.
·         Build and maintain close working relationships with internal and external
business partners in order to understand and influence business
strategies, priorities and direction to ensure that business objectives
can be converted into effective products and services.
·         Work with Sales, Brokerage Operations and Relationship Management teams in
executing the product integration, training, offering and handling all
other issues as they arise.
·         Partner with Marketing and Client Communications to promote product launches
and events, develop collateral, and create general external awareness of the product suite.
·         Offer a competitive product set through partnership with competitive
intelligence team, analyzing and highlighting opportunities and
challenges as they relate to the current competitive landscape
Requirements:
·         Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or related field
·         Minimum 2-3 years' work-related experience in product and/or project role or equivalent. Financial services experience REQ.
·         Working knowledge of the financial services industry with an emphasis on the RIA market.
·         Excellent communication and project management skills; capacity to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
·         Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
·         10% travel is required.
