We are in need of a business analyst. The person will be part of the overall team, led by me, comprised of business and technical personnel from both the company and PIP. The project is initially to upgrade existing software (happens to be FACTS from Infor) and identify new business processes that should be established and supported by the software. The actual knowledge of the software is not required (this will be handled by the functional consultant from the software vendor). Our BA is more business focused from an accounting perspective (details below). There likely will be follow-on work for this person to work with us and the company to implement and use the new software features and establish/implement new business processes.

Some details about the project and skills required are below:
1.            Business Process analysis and design in financial, inventory, order management systems
2.            Accounting skills especially around cost accounting and inventory
3.            ERP systems experience in general is a plus but not required (Infor knowledge and added plus)
4.            Possible support in Warehouse Management but not required for this phase (but this knowledge would be helpful for the implementation phase)
5.            Dates – TBD but either the weeks of Mach 17 and March 24, or the weeks of March 24 and March 31.
6.            Total billable day is 10 days
7.            Location: at client HQ in Manhattan (NYC).
8.            Tasks to be performed include:
a.       Building SOW for implementation phase
b.      Identifying potential process changes that need to be made (best practice from an accounting perspective)
c.       Accounting for Cost of Goods Sold via actual and/ standard cost
d.      Review Order-to-Cash business functions and incorporate new technology to automate/eliminate manual processes
e.      Review reporting requirements with key business users in sales, marketing and operations to incorporate into upgrade

The same person will likely stay on and help with the implementation of the process changes, supported by the capabilities of the upgraded software. Duration and effort to TBD, but for planning and discussion purposes could be in the range of 16 to 20  weeks.
