My client, Bobst North America Inc. (Roseland, NJ) is looking to hire a Regional Sales Manager - Northeast Territory. Bobst is the sole distributor for Bobst Group SA, manufacturer of Converting Equipment for the printing and packaging industry. The objective of this position is to identify and sell machinery from the Group's product range reflective of the Equipment capability, pricing realities and market niches.

This position leads the effort to manage the existing customer base, working with customers to identify opportunities for new Equipment to replace or add to their existing production capability. New, incremental business opportunities should also be identified, qualified with the expectation to bring new customers to the Group.

The Regional Sales Manager is expected to build excitement, enthusiasm and confidence to the customer base in their territory. This person will sell Equipment to the end user customers, exactly meeting their needs, using the Group resources and to maximize market share. The target market includes folding carton manufacturers, commercial printers, trade finishers, greeting card manufacturers and those producing specialty products.

The Regional Sales Manager is expected to learn and become an expert on all aspects of Bobst Folding Carton Equipment. This person will present, educate and problem-solve application issues with customers, prospects and referral sources. The Regional Sales Manager will demonstrate the ability to analyze customer production processes and provide solutions based on product and technical knowledge. The role requires extensive travel within the territory to present the product range and to visit customers to understand their needs. Representing the company at trade shows and Open Houses is expected. The Regional Sales Manager is part of large international organization and is respected by the organization as he respects the people within it.
This is a 50-hour plus, salary plus commission, full time position based within the specified territory. The typical workweek will be Monday-Friday and may include occasional travel and weekend hours to attend industry events. The successful candidate will be energetic, an effective communicator, and one who is able to excel in a very independent sales environment.

The Regional Sales Manager reports directly to the National Sales Manager and accepts guidance from the Vice President of the Business Area Folding Carton and the Product Line Manager.

Main Responsibilities

1. Meet and exceed sales objectives.
Identify, develop, and close business; proactively develop/maintain relationships and pursue opportunities for additional business with existing clients. Lead by example, taking a proactive, customer focused approach.

2. Evaluate project suitability based on Bobst's equipment range, market niche, capabilities.
Demonstrate ability to understand a customer's current production methods by always making a plant tour during a visit. This critical process will help identify the current production requirements to ensure that the right Equipment is specified and to ensure that the customer's expectations are met, leading to a successful conclusion to the project.
3. Coordinate with the BNA Organization.
Work closely with the Business Area team (Product Line Managers, Technical Services, and Customer Service) and Bobst Finance Group, or external leasing agent, in order to provide the best, most efficient customer solution.

4. Develop and submit proposals
Manage the proposal and price positioning, to ensure that it meets the customer's budget and performance expectations, details the Equipment offering, then review and follow up with the customer and bring to closure.
5. Prepare and submit market intelligence
When a project is won by the competition complete and submit a Competitive Activity Report (CAR) in the CRM system and advise the relevant Product Manager that is has been done.

6. Manage and record daily activities through the CRM system
Maintenance of customer profiles, opportunities, territory and account plans, account visits, significant phone calls, installed Bobst Group and competitive equipment.

7. Manage the territory expectations
As established, e.g. 10 physical calls per week on average return phone calls within 24 hours maximum, emails within 48 hours maximum, etc.

8. Provide excellent customer service.
Communicate and problem solve with customers using the resources of the Group as necessary. Drive deadlines, act with urgency, identify bottlenecks and be solution oriented.

9. Participate in trade shows, Open Houses and appropriate industry events.
Take an active role is presenting Equipment to customers.

· Contact existing customers on a regular basis, through visits or telephone contact, within the objectives set and with regard to ongoing projects.
· Identify opportunities for Group Equipment and generate the recommended specifications.
· Generate and submit proposals in response to these customer opportunities utilizing company resources as required.
· Follow up aggressively outstanding proposals and close the sale.
· Provide detailed information on competition activity, pricing and new products.
· Provide key support and consultation to individual customers regarding company products and services - in an effort to help meet customer needs
· Qualify and pursue new/additional business based on potential for revenue and timely close;
· Evaluate and make appropriate "Go/No-Go" decisions on new business opportunities
· Meet with qualified prospects to present Equipment and Services and/or identify and discuss specific opportunities for future projects.
· Update the CRM system on a continuous basis.
· Effectively organize and track leads via CRM system.
· Communicate regularly with the National Sales Manager, Product Line Managers and the Vice President.
· Participate in business/social/professional organizations and events, including tradeshows and Open Houses, that reinforce or generate new business relationships;
· Participate actively in sales meetings and prepare presentations as required.
· Submit territory forecast on a quarterly basis.
· Submit expenses on a weekly basis.

Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

* Ensures that requests conform to the documented processes.
* Maintain the process of provisioning, managing and de-provisioning users across multiple directories.
* Maintains user accounts in external secondary banking systems.
* Ensures that security requests have proper (system owner) approval.
* Manage and communicate all security issues related to business system administrators. This includes collaborating with functional and technical owners on incident management, problem management, escalation management and resource management.
* Manage the testing and migration of security objects from the non-production environments to the production environment.

Review Messaging Backbone Design (Sendmail Sentrion 4.2)
Experience with Proofpoint infrastructure
Undergo integration aspect of the upgrade such as design review, staging, QA, implementation, pilot and production.
Ensure integration with all dependant application systems, business rules and co-ordination with downstream products such as Directory, Exchange, Secure Email and Data Loss Protection.
Install and QA Sendmail Sentrion servers in the infrastructure per design.

Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience on Unix and Linux environment.

Strong knowledge and experience of Sendmail is required.

Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Active Directory, LDAP, SMTP,  SQL, Firewall and Network Infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of ITIL or other framework is preferred.
Knowledge and experience in project management is desired.
Experience with products such as Microsoft Identity Integration Server (MIIS), Exchange, Blackberry is a plus.
