Title: Infrastructure Architect
Duration: Contract

The Infrastructure Architect will develop and maintain the high-level design plan for the overall logical and technical IT Infrastructure architecture. This candidate will work in a distributed, high performing team focused on improving the efficiencies of IT. The Infrastructure Architect will gain organizational alignment for all high-level infrastructure plans related to but not limited to, Servers, Virtualization, Storage, Messaging, Networking, VoIP and Active Directory; and initiate and participate in projects to evaluate technologies and methods for implementing these plans.
Responsibilities:

* Design overall system and solution architecture, system integration, and implementation strategy
* Ensure the technical integrity and quality of the solutions
* Lead the analysis of new/existing infrastructure architectures, specify long term direction, and ensures platforms meet reliability expectations throughout the process
* Guide and direct teams planning infrastructure deployment and management for large scale internally deployed applications and purchased business applications
* Establish monitoring procedures and tools to create a robust run time environment for business applications
* Create necessary infrastructure diagrams, process flows, reference architecture, etc. including servers, virtualization, collaboration platforms, enterprise storage, cloud services, Active Directory
* Strong analytic ability - metrics gathering, capacity planning, scalability and disaster recovery planning.
* Involved in all stages of a project lifecycle, with focus on the architecture, design and specifications of infrastructure requirements and processes
* Ensure adherence to project schedules, IT standards/procedures, and user specifications/requirements
* Coordinate project meetings, prepare agenda and status reports, answer ad hoc questions, and provide guidance for project members
* Extensive knowledge and experience with the following technology stacks: Windows Servers, Active Directory, VMware, Microsoft Messaging (Exchange and Lync), Collaboration Tools, Enterprise Storage, VoIP, Cisco Routers and Switches, Content Enterprise Applications

Qualifications:

* A minimum of 8 years of experience in IT with 3 to 5 years of demonstrably solid performance in a mid to senior level IT role working with cross-functional teams (within IT and/or within the business) on enterprise-level or complex/novel system implementations.
* Excellent written and verbal technical skills

Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is required
