SESSION: How to interview from the interviewer's perspective

PRESENTER: Dr. Uco Wiersma, Ph.D.

There is only one opportunity in an interview to project your value to a
company, so it's important to know the techniques that work and those that
don't. The best techniques are evidence-based, supported by research. But
most of the research on the employment interview is designed to help
employers. Hear how to move forward in a career by translating pearls of
wisdom from high quality research into practical interview advice.

Dr .Uco Wiersma received his B.A. In Psychology from UCONN and his Ph.D. in
Industrial/Organizational Psychology from New York University. He developed
human resource management policies, including how managers should interview
job candidates, for the New York Stock Exchange. He spent another 20 years
teaching human resource management topics in Holland, Singapore, Hong Kong
and Dubai. He is currently a professor in the School of Economics and
Management at Tongji University in Shanghai, China. When not traveling, he
resides in Norwalk, Connecticut. You can reach Uco at uco@ucomail.com.

Secure your seat. Register at <http://wno20140721.eventbrite.com/>
http://wno20140721.eventbrite.com/. Walk-ins are welcome on a non-guaranteed
first-come, first-served basis and must fill in a registration form at the
front desk as well as present a business card. We have a very limited number
of available seats, remember to register early.

The Free Croton Library parking lot is limited in space, please park in the
