In April of 2011, Barry Mangione hit bottom.  Within the space of less than a year, he had filed for bankruptcy and divorce.  Battling depression and alcoholism, he found himself planning to commit suicide and nearly following through with it several times.  Three years later, Barry is the happiest and healthiest heĆ¢€™s ever been in his life.  How did he do it?  It all started when he began asking himself the right questions.  His journey through recovery, redemption, and re-invention started with a simple but powerful question: How did I get here?  Through retracing his steps, he was able to make his past work for him by writing and sharing his experiences through music and written works.  Barry now uses his experience overcoming adversity to help others on their own journeys.  He shares the tools and skills that got him through difficult times in order to inspire others who are ready to change their lives.

This Wednesday at 7:00 pm, join Bronxville Career Network at the Reformed Church of Bronxville for Barry's talk about making your past work for you and landing that next job.  The program will be held in the Edwards Room which is accessible via the entrance at the back right of the front courtyard.  The church is located at 180 Pondfield Rd. (corner of Midland Ave.), Bronxville, NY 10708.  For further information, email Sheila Larkin at larkin5@optonline.net, see www.reformedchurch.org, call 914/337-6776, and view on Google maps at bit.ly/BCNatRCB.
