First Meeting in 2015:

Saturday, January 10th from 7:30 - 10:15 am: The Breakfast Club will host Rod Colon, A Career Coach, who will give a presentation titled: Keep the Faith and Networking Alive. All of us are entrepreneurs, not because we should start companies, but because the will to create is encoded in human DNA, and creation is the essence of entrepreneurship. Rod will discuss that in order to adapt to the challenges of professional life today, we need to rediscover our entrepreneurial instincts and use them to forge new sorts of careers. Whether you are a lawyer, doctor, teacher, engineer or even a business owner, today you need to also think of yourself as an entrepreneur, at the helm of at least one living, growing start-up venture: your career, the CEO of Me, Inc. You future success depends on understanding and deploying these entrepreneurial strategies. More broadly, society flourishes when people think entrepreneurially. More information is available at www.thebreakfastclubnj.com. The meeting is at the Days Hotel Conference Center, 195 Rt. 18 South, East Brunswick, NJ 08816. The meeting is FREE and free bagel to first 50 who show up!

How TBCNJ Uses Social Networking and Media

TBCNJ has always strived to leverage technology to help those in transition. Our vision was by having so many individuals in a concentrated geography that we could provide our members an edge to turn unknown to known opportunities, find out about targeted companies and opportunities, and better network into targeted firms by using technology to our members advantage. The following sites are available to help our members:

1. Website - www.thebreakfastclubnj. com - our main website with overall info and a link to become a member of the group by providing your contact info - name, phone and email

2. Yahoo Group - TheBreakfastClubNJ - is our primary communication channel. Members will receive and can post job transition and career management related info - job opportunities, introduction notes, notes for help in search, share job fairs, latest employment info, etc. Once a member by sending from email that they joined group to thebreakfastclubnj@yahoogroups.com

3. LinkedIn Group - TheBreakfastClub - NJ - once a member of our Yahoo Group one of our volunteers creates and sends an invite to join our LinkedIn Group. Once a member of LInked In Group, you then have to take the time and effort to link to each member directly

4. Facebook Group - TheBreakfastClubNJ - Once a member of TBCNJ you can join our Facebook group. Why Facebook? 5 times as many contacts on Facebook than LinkedIn - any questions contact Adrienne Roman at adrienne1204@optonline.net

5. Google+ and Google Hangout - Ability to arrange virtual meetings with other members on everything from job networking to specialized topics

6. Meetup.Com - The Breakfast Club NJ - http://www.meetup.com/The-Breakfast-Club-NJ/ - to promote group, attract new members and manage meetings more effectively

Thank you,
