Description We are looking for a strong user experience designer to establish visual design and usability standards. We are building the next generation trading system that supports a high volume, real-time, exception-based platform and replaces the current manually-intensive point-to-point architecture. The UX designer will guide and inform how the desktop and web applications are built so that users can make quick and informed decisions based on the data presented and fluidly act on those decisions. The designer will be an integral part of the development lifecycle so that user experience is incorporated into the system work flow rather than being bolted on as an afterthought. In order to accomplish this, the designer will work directly with the traders and IT development teams. Therefore strong analytic skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. Qualifications Requirements 3+ years' experience designing desktop and web applications Strong conceptualization ability, strong visual communication ability, drawing skills and sketchbook technique Skilled in workflow analysis, planning and design to streamline user actions and present an intuitive and optimal interface (i.e. minimal clicks, logical flows) Exceptional design skills, production value, and attention to detail Communicate design proposals using wireframes and mockups Experience with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies Understanding of common software project management practices Understanding of common software development practices Skills Desired Experience in the Stock Loan or finance industry Familiarity with agile methodologies Knowledge of UI development using WPF, HTML5 (e.g. AngularJS, ExtJS
