Job Title: Applications Manager (Pharma Business Applicantions) Salary to 120k plus Bonus

Reports to: Director of Application Services

Department: Information Systems

Summary:

In this role, the Applications Manager is responsible for managing and providing oversight and guidance of the organization's critical, non-ERP pharmaceutical business applications (Quality Management Systems, Contracts and rebate Management, Serialization etc.) that support operations. The Applications Manager improves business processes and supports critical business strategies by managing the development, implementation, maintenance and support of business applications systems. She/he leads multiple projects and oversees analysts/developers to ensure that specifications are met. In addition, the role ensures that Company employees have all required access to the system during working hours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

- Managing and reporting against all technology specific projects under their direct responsibility

- Making recommendations to management for operational improvements, including appropriate cost/benefit analysis.

- Resolving all problems related to the efficient operation of business critical applications.

- Training supplemental resources in the responsibilities of pharmaceutical business applications (QMS, Contracts and rebate Management, Serialization etc.) and other core application System Administrations functions.

- Oversee all necessary upgrades and additional functionality installations to the business application environment.

- Ensure proper maintenance of all Disaster Recovery procedures related to the pharmaceutical business application and ancillary systems, as well as all aspects of computer operation data and access security (local and remote).

- Evaluating the diagnosis and tuning of the associated pharmaceutical business applications for performance problems.

- Oversee creation and maintenance of all user profiles, roles and system security.

- Assisting IS management with the implementation and monitoring of management information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance. Specifically:

- Standard Operating Procedure documentation for all daily, weekly, monthly and annual operations

- Documentation of the SAP Information System topographies and hardware configurations

- Proper documentation and protocols to ensure compliance with FDA Validation requirements as well as other regulatory agencies

- Maintaining an effective level of System Administration proficiency and knowledge to ensure the pharmaceutical business applications operates in accordance with the industry Best Operational Practices.

Qualifications:

This job requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Must have extensive experience implementing, maintaining and supporting pharmaceutical business applications.

Candidates must possess:

* 10+ years total experience in Implementation, Operations and Support of Enterprise Applications
* At-least 5+ Years of Enterprise Application Implementation Experience
* At-least 3+ years of Enterprise Application operations and support Experience
* Direct Reports with both supervisory and HR responsibilities 5+ Years
* Strong Project Management/Delivery Management Skills
* Good communication and collaboration skills
* Works well with geographically dispersed teams
* SDLC Methodologies

Strongly Preferred:

* Pharma/Life Sciences background
* Computer systems Validation (CSV)
* Experience with implementing and supporting Serialization, Quality Management (QM) and Contract Management (CM) Systems
* Bachelors or higher degree (Educational background in IT will be preferred)
