Summary:

The Equity Support team within the Investor & Client Applications (ICA)
group seeks an individual who will take on a hands-on technical leadership
role across the suite of portfolio of applications and tools developed in
this space but also make important contributions in connection with projects
spanning areas of research & rapid solutions, portfolio construction,
derivatives and at the IS department level. In the Support domain, this
individual will be responsible for owning the technical outcomes and
providing solutions to address investor needs.

The projects will range in complexity and originate from our business
sponsors or from other application teams. It is expected that this
individual will become knowledgeable in short order across the business
domains, applications and processes that we support, such as valuation
models, research and collaboration platforms, risk management and product
management frameworks. This individual will also be heavily involved in
designing, supporting, improving the overall architecture blueprint within
this area.

The Lead Systems Analyst will work with globally located investors and team
members to analyze and implement projects, delivering custom solutions to be
used in the investment and research process. Daily activities will include
application support, hands on design and development, project management,
requirements gathering and documentation, application design, code reviews,
implementation, testing/quality assurance, and end-user training. This
position requires technical proficiency and a high level of direct
interaction with end users and provides a broad set of opportunities
including application development, project management and client management.

Detailed Responsibilities:

· Work closely with investment professionals located globally at all
levels of the organization to provide support using the follow-the-sun
approach for existing applications and proactively identify opportunities
for new/improved systems. Partner with users to iteratively deliver
applications that are critical to their investment process. On an ongoing
basis provide enhancements to previously deployed solutions.

· Collect, document and implement systems requirements.

· Set development standards, code solutions and perform code
reviews, where applicable and ensure development practices adhere to firm
guidelines

· Perform data gap analysis and facilitate remediation efforts

· Plan and manage small and large sized support projects and perform
development and deployment

· Work with users to prioritize needs and provide communication to
keep them apprised of progress.

Required Skills and Competencies:

· Strong understanding of the investment process, support and
client management, research workflows, equity & derivative securities and
market data services e.g. Bloomberg desktop and Server APIs, FactSet, etc.

· Minimum 6 years experience as a Software Developer
supporting small to medium application development life cycles

· Strong understanding of Object Oriented concepts

· Demonstrated experience of design and development using .Net
based technologies or Java.

· Microsoft Office application expertise, in particular with
Excel and the creation/maintenance of Excel VBA macros & VBA code.

· Strong understanding and proven experience with technologies
such as web-services, XML/XSLT

· Strong understanding and experience of messaging frameworks
using JMS (experience with Active MQ will be a plus)

· Understanding and experience with building performance
(speed and accuracy) critical applications.

· Experience in using scripting tools such as Perl, Shell
Scripts is will be a plus

· Understanding of applications that use Rich Desktop clients
is required.

· Must possess SQL.

· Prior experience with Oracle and SQL Server

· Experience with various software development methodologies,
such as Agile or RUP

· Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and
verbal are required

· Ability to work independently and own projects from
beginning to end

· Strong motivation and ability to work in a fast paced team
environment

· Proven ability to support multiple applications
simultaneously managing milestones effectively

· Must be self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal
supervision

· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline

· Experience in Financial Industry is preferred

· Any work towards achieving the CFA (or related) charter will
be a plus

Keys to this Position:

This is a well rounded senior individual that has strong
hands on coding skills, understands the business, can interface with users
and has the aptitude and capacity to propose vision and architectural
blueprints for strategic implementations.

1. This position is 40% Development and 60% Systems
Analysis.

2. Technical Requirement: We will consider either a Java
or .NET resource

For .NET: C#, .NET, Excel VBA, XML, etc.

For Java: Java, Spring, JMS, etc.

3. Domain Knowledge Requirement: Must have an
understanding of the Investment Process including knowledge of the front
office. Ideally the candidate will have knowledge of Equities,
(Derivatives and Market Data are pluses). Some indications of domain
knowledge would be CFA or pursuing the CFA, Financial Statement Analysis,
and knowledge of alpha. If the candidate does not have Equities, we will
look at Fixed Income knowledge as long as they are comfortable learning
Equities.

4. Strong Client Interfacing skills are required. This
individual will be working directly with Investors.

5. We will consider candidates that are strong
technically but do not have financial services experience. They will need
to demonstrate high energy and an aptitude and passion for learning
financial services. Candidates that have a Masters in Financial Engineering
from a top school are highly desired, i.e. MIT, NYU, UC Berkeley, Stanford,
U Chicago, etc.

Position Responsibilities – Summary
The Global Execution Services team is seeking a Lead Software Engineer.
This lead role will combine quantitative and software engineering skills to
drive development and deliverables that support and forward the GES business
goals.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Lead member of this team, the individual will have the following
responsibilities:

· Partner with the GES Business and Trading Research Analysts to
understand and implement business requirements and objectives

· Provide effective and strategic technical solutions to forward
goals of the GES Business and Trading Research teams

· Lead the technical design, implementation and deployment of robust
services that support trading, investment and Global Execution Services
teams

· Lead an onshore/offshore team of 5-8 developers and quality
assurance staff

· Lead full-cycle software development including regression testing,

Required Skills and Competencies:

· A minimum of five years of experience in the investment or trading
industry, ideally with an asset manager, a hedge fund, broker or an
investment bank.

· Demonstrated understanding of equity and/or fixed income security
data structures and attributes (including those for related derivatives),
quantitative concepts, and related investment processes

· Six to eight years core servers-side Java/J2EE development

· Strong knowledge and experience with frameworks (e.g., Spring,
Hibernate)

· Strong knowledge and experience with messaging, multi-threading,
concurrency and other complex technical implementations

· Working knowledge of SQL and relational database technology

· Excellent written and verbal communications skills

· Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical
production environment

· Strong delivery focus and ability to overcome obstacles

· Advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, physics,
