Senior Project Manager
This senior project manager position is responsible for managing all aspects of project management from original concept through final implementation. This individual must have demonstrated ability to lead and manage across technology disciplines in a matrix organization globally. Candidate must have prior success driving technical projects / programs, project tracking, issue resolution, risk mitigation, seeking approvals, and influencing teams. The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. This role will have accountability for projects / programs including scope, schedule, audit and financials.
Requirement:
• 8 years direct work experience in a project /program management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
• Proven track record in successfully delivering large projects, preferably in large global organizations.
• Background in any of software development, architecture, testing or business analysis is strongly preferred
• Experience with complex SDLC methodologies (i.e. Agile) as well as structured systems analysis and design methodologies.
• Ability to manage project financials.
• A successful track record managing Banking Industry technology projects is a plus
• Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Planview, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Ability to provide leadership and demonstrate ability to lead multiple project teams in a high volume, high pressure environment.
• PMP Certified is a plus
• Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products Experience at working both independently and in a collaborative team environment
• Ability to manage work across cross-functional and remote teams, both internal and external.
• Ability to define business request, problems and identify strategies and tactics to provide solutions
• Self-motivated and demonstrates ability to be goal focused and results driven, including driving project related risks, issues and concerns to closure.
• Prior experience with technologies such as mobile and tablet platforms is preferred.
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

It is hard to think of the successful completion of a business software project without the support of a Software Project Management Plan. Such projects require adequate planning, monitoring and controlling to meet the objectives of a high-end enterprise solution. At the same time, one must take into account the total time required and manage the resources in an efficient manner to deliver the project well within the stipulated time. It was found that the most problematic areas in meeting the exact user requirements were the difficulties in articulating the needs of the clients and the incorrect estimation of the needed resources.
