PRESIDENT'S
COMMENTS
================
The
Chapter officers do their best to arrange for interesting IT-related
presentations each month, as well as providing you with quality networking
opportunities. We always welcome suggestions from our members on any
Chapter-related item. Recommendations on future presentation topics
is especially desired.

I
repeat this message again this month: AITP has established reduced membership fees for
unemployed applicants. That 'promotion' was changed and made
even more lucrative - $55 for both new members and renewals from those
currently unemployed. There was a deadline involved, but my guess is that it
will be changed. So, if you are unemployed and wish to become an AITP member,
my recommendation is to call AITP Headquarters at 312-245-1070 and request the
unemployed membership fee of $55 (ask for Melissa if she is available.)
Most likely you will be accepted after a few questions. If you wish, you
can also contact Headquarters via email at memberservices@aitp.org and
inquire about the unemployed discount. Let me know if you have any
problems with any of these approaches. Please note that the Chapter waives
its fee for all new members as well as for unemployed member
renewals. Thus, the unemployed membership fee should only be
$55.

Please
let me know if you have any interest in becoming a Chapter Officer. We are
always looking for help, particularly concerning membership and program
planning.

will continue to meet on the second Tuesday of each month.
