Position Responsibilities - Summary

The Fixed Income Systems team is responsible for providing front-office
Information Services capabilities to the firm's Fixed Income Investment
teams. The team plays a critical role in our firm's success by providing
technical solutions that improve the efficiency, speed and quality of the
highly complex investment decision-making process.

As a member of the Fixed Income Systems team, this individual will be
responsible for solutions delivery for Fixed Income Investment business.
This is an ideal opportunity for an IT professional to apply business and/or
technical skills to enable investment process to become more efficient:

Lead delivery of high quality business solutions

Interface and coordinate with the broad Information Services teams to ensure
successful delivery

Demonstrate strong project management and leadership skills with ability to
handle multiple activities in a dynamic fast paced environment

Interact with Investment professionals at all levels of the organization as
needed, to proactively identify opportunities for new/improved systems to
improve the investment process.

Lead the implementation of business solutions in conjunction with the
technical development

Perform gap analysis between investment process and existing systems

Lead and establish effective processes for productive partnership with
offshore technical teams

Lead implementation of business process improvements involving (but not
limited to) investment process efficiency, data quality improvements and
simplifying investor workflow.

Responsibilities:

· Lead the implementation of business solutions in conjunction with
the technical development.

· Perform gap analysis between investment process and existing
systems

· Lead and establish effective processes for productive partnership
with offshore technical teams.

· Lead implementation of business process improvements involving
(but not limited to) investment process efficiency, data quality
improvements and simplifying investor workflow.

Required Skills and Competencies:

Technical Requirements

· Minimum of five years of hands-on design and development
experience in commercial environments

· Experience with, and demonstrated understanding of modern software
development and testing methodologies.

· Excellent analytical and problem skills

· Experience in relevant financial domain i.e. business technical
understanding of Fixed Income, Derivatives securities or financial markets
like Foreign Exchange, Money Market, etc.

· Experience developing J2EE applications using JDBC, JNDI, JMS and
other related technologies like Swing, RCP, developing Web applications
using JSP, AJAX, SPRING, Web Services and other related technologies (HTML5,
etc) is strong plus.

· Intermediate level expertise with SQL and Excel VBA

Non-Technical Requirements

· Degree in Computer Science or directly related field

· Excellent written and verbal communications skills

· Willingness to work independently in an energetic, fast-paced,
business-critical and team oriented-environment

· CFA or working towards CFA is a strong plus.

· Demonstrated experience in problem-solving skills and delivery of
quality solutions with good mathematical acumen.

· A strong team player, with ability to work in collaboration across
teams.

We would like to see candidates that come from one of the three backgrounds
listed below and then we will build the role to support that candidate's
strengths:

In all cases the candidate will need to have strong communication skills, as
they will be embedded in the business group working alongside Investors.
Also, high energy, enthusiasm and a passion for the financial industry are
necessary. The candidate needs to be smart, collaborative and will have the
ability to establish rapport with the business.

Background 1: The candidate will have a strong technical developer
background. The technical skill set should include the following:
Java/J2EE, Web Services, Front-end development, Swing/RCP. Domain knowledge
is not required however the candidate should have a strong desire to learn
the business.

Background 2: The candidate will have strong domain knowledge as a Business
or Systems Analyst. The Domain knowledge that is required includes some of
the following: Fixed Income, Derivatives, FX/Currency, Asset Allocation,
etc. A CFA is highly desired. For this profile we are only looking for
light technical skills with Excel and SQL. We will pair this candidate with
a programmer.

Background 3: The candidate will have a combination of 1 and 2 that
includes strong developer skills (as listed above) along with business
domain knowledge (as listed above).

The Fixed Income Quant Systems Team is responsible for providing advanced
quantitative tools such as analytic calculators, risk models, cash flow
engines, liquidity evaluation frameworks, technical pattern modeling, and
asset allocation strategies to the firm's portfolio management and research
teams. Members of the team play critical roles in firm's success by
providing proprietary technology solutions that enable complex investment
decision-making.

This lead role will combine quantitative and software engineering skills to
drive development of firm's next generation of quantitative tools.

Responsibilities:

· Participate in full-cycle software development including
development, regression testing, deployment, and production support.

· Provide technical leadership to a development team with
responsibility for architecture, design and implementation.

· Partner closely with investment and research teams to understand
business needs and to create effective technical solutions.

· Lead implementation of business process improvements involving
(but not limited to) investment process efficiency, data quality
improvements and simplifying investor work flow.

Required Skills and Competencies:

· At least 7 years of hands-on software development experience in
commercial environments.

· Experience with, and demonstrated understanding of modern software
development and testing methodologies.

· Demonstrated experience developing J2EE solutions using Java,
JDBC, Web Services, and related technologies.

· Prior experience using distributed computing, grid or cloud
technologies.

· Working knowledge of SQL and database technologies.

· Working knowledge of MatLab is preferred, but not required.

· Delivery focus and willingness to work in a fast-paced,
mission-critical production environment.

· Excellent communications skills.

· Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, physics, statistics
or other related field.

In addition, the following qualifications would be preferred:

· Understanding of fixed income security data, analytics and risk
management concepts.

· Willingness or demonstrated commitment to a CFA/FRM charter.

Keys to this Position:

1. Technical: We are seeking a strong server side Java/J2EE developer with
multi-threading, web services and messaging (JMS) as well as database skills
(preferably Oracle).

2. Working knowledge of Matlab is strongly desired.

3. The following are a plus: Quant experience, grid and cloud computing
and financial services.

4. Leadership: This individual will lead a team of on and offshore
consultants.

5. Projects: This individual will have the opportunity to work on the
following projects: Risk Management, Risk Scenario Analytics, Security
