Candidate Profile

The qualified candidate will:
• Design and develop graphical user interfaces
• Design and develop user interfaces using jQuery, HTML5, AJAX,
Django, Python and an SQL database in a Linux environment
• Interact with team members and team leads to deliver high
quality code in an aggressive timeframe
• Interact with product management team to understand and define how users effectively interact with the product
• Maintain proper documentation and use software development methodologies to ensure that products are developed to the highest standards

The position is located in Morris Plains, NJ and offers:

Candidate Requirements
• Minimum 4+ years experience developing and delivering browser based applications
• Experience with Linux a must
• Experience with Python and Django a must
• Experience with jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AJAX a plus
• Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL a plus
• Experience with Apache a plus
• Experience with CSS3 and HTML5 a plus
• Excellent debugging, analysis and code development skills
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems and troubleshoot software issues
• Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• User Interface (UI) design experience and usability expertise a plus

Our client, a fast-paced successful growth company based in the metro New York City area*, has a terrific opportunity for a multi-talented Systems Engineer who wants to assume a leadership role!
As the Systems Engineer reporting to the Vice President Interactive Services, your responsibilities will include gathering requirements, generating documentation & drawings, helping to define a project vision and strategy, and working with a skilled team of professionals to execute that strategy. The Systems Engineer is the technical leader for Software, Hardware, Integration, Content Management, and Support Systems for our Enterprise-wide Interactive Patient System and related network infrastructure, which is currently deployed in 300 large healthcare facilities nationally.
Skills & Experience:
• Knowledge of both Health Information Technology (HIT) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems integration
• Understanding of digital cable TV system design/installation of software, hardware, and infrastructure
• Billing and payments systems integration
• Familiarity with business issues
• Willingness to network and promote/build the category
• Ability to work with others to strategize for the long range success of the business
• Ability to be collaborative, work in a project environment with focus on team success
• Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers, assist with Sales calls
• BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred (MS or Ph.D. a plus)
• Minimum of five (5) + years experience
 
*Please Note: it is possible to assume this role without relocation to New York as the company has operations in seven states, and this role requires approximately 25%-35%+ travel.
Compensation & Benefits
• Base $105 - $120 + 5% Annual Incentive

This position offers the opportunity to showcase your skills of design and development while working on enhancements of our current products as well as new products and technologies.

• 3+ years previous development with C/C++
• Development building commercial software applications for enterprise level customers, a plus
• Prior development of applications that run on multiple operating systems

• Developing solutions for virtual environments, a plus
• Previous experience with Source Control (SVN, CVS)
