Senior Business Analyst (Sharepoint)
Position Description
The Senior Business Analyst (SharePoint) will act as the liaison between Informatics and the Marketing business group as well as work with cross-functional team members to manage small to large scale initiatives to ensure that the systems being developed are aligned with the requirements of the business community. This position reports to the Manager, Business Lead of the Informatics- Sales & Marketing Department.
Main areas of responsibility:
- Support and maintain assigned Marketing applications.
- Support SharePoint platform.
- Triage issues that are reported and ensure issues are successfully resolved.
- Perform technical feasibility studies for long term data retention.
- Document requirements, designs, coding, testing and deployment specifications.
- Assist in providing time estimates for project related tasks and support.
- Participates in user group meetings for the application that they support.
- Design systems according to standards and best practice to meet highly complex business needs.
- Lead technical sessions for reviewing IT requirements and business processes focused around code review, test plan setup, and additional problem resolution via debug.
- Write descriptions of steps taken to configure systems and procedures required to implement new functionality within the applicable software.
- Prepare detailed functional specifications from which programs are developed and coded. Review functional specifications written by other team members.
Position Requirements Minimum Qualifications to be considered for this position:
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5-7 years of business and/or systems analysis experience.
- Strong experience with applicable application and toolset.
- Strong experience with SharePoint.
- Understands SQL Server.
- Understands client server and internet systems (and browser) technologies.
- Demonstrates familiarity with object and component methodology and technology.
- Possesses knowledge of XML/XSL.
- End to end implementation of software development life cycle using custom development and/or off the shelf software solutions.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Action orientated, strong analytical and problem skills with experience in both process and solution analysis and design.
- Strong communication and influence skills in one on one and group settings.
- Effectively communication skills to internal business customers and vendors about current issues and road maps.
- Ability to convey a strong presence, professional image, and deal confidently with complex technical problems.
