Marketing Director, Cardiology

Summary

Provides strategic direction and leads the marketing initiatives for our cardiology product line.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develops, and implements the strategic marketing initiatives to achieve consistent corporate image across all product lines, promotional materials, and public relations events.

Develops and creates strategic marketing plan, marketing communications ensuring successful use of - print, electronic, and social media.
Manages editorial direction, design, production and distribution of publications including: pitch book, brochures, product specifications, application notes, and the Company website.

Assist Business Development in completing market analyses, identify opportunities and prepare marketing plans.

* Complete SWOT analysis and benchmark tests against competing technologies/companies.

* Recommend market specifications, product revenue objectives, and develops goals and sales strategies through internal collaboration with colleagues.

* Develops go to market strategy for new products to increase revenue.

* Identify, analyze and recommend new product opportunities and/or partnerships within cardiology designed to increase revenue.

Leads product positioning, pricing, placement and promotion. Ensures marketing materials and sales strategy align with strategic and tactical initiatives, develops sales messaging and leads sales training.

Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners. Directs post commercialization activities and recruits key opinion leaders to promote the Company's visibility.
Coordinates user groups to highlight the new tests.

Coordinates scientific conferences and trade show attendance ensuring abstracts and platform presentations are accepted.

Monitors competitors testing, product development, sales and marketing activities. As business necessity dictates, additional functions may be assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Ability to effectively plan, organizes, manage, and execute concurrent projects timely and within budget.
* Ability to represent the Company through a broad scope of marketing activities to increase market share.
* Excellent persuasive communication, presentation, and influence management skills both internally and externally.
* Ability to deal with non-routine business situations and maintain confidentiality.

* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.

* Ability to draft speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques.

Contacts
Internal: Contact with various employee levels in the organization including the clinical genetics laboratory. Collaborates with colleagues to ensure consistency in marketing brand message.
External: Contact with customers, bio-tech community, third party payers, and vendors.

Work Environment and Physical Demands: Standard office environment. Ability to travel up to 40% as business necessity dictates.

Education/Experience (Minimum): BS/BA Marketing and 5-8 years related experience preferred. MBA and Cardiology experience strongly preferred.
