Job Title :Junior Web Developer - C# or Java
Job Description :
Our client a major entertainment company seeks a Junior web developer with experience in C# or Java, Sybase or SQL Server, CSS, and HTML. The major responsibilities of this position will be to assist in the development of services for a Media Management system. The developer will work on application code that supports logging, search and retrieval of high and low resolution video. The successful candidate will also work on systems that encode, process and distribute video to other entities. This person will work closely with, and at the direction of the Development Manager, on all projects that manipulate digital video storage

Major Responsibilities

Manage the current suite of applications.

Advise management of strategic technology

Work with other developers to design and develop new functionality for the system

Facilitate the creation of and review current and detailed project plans for all projects

Provide management status reports and performance metrics for all projects

Proactively identify and avoid recurring issues and minimize the impact of problems related to the above area

Required Skills

1+ years of web development experience using Java or C#

Database: Sybase Adaptive Server; Microsoft SQL Server

Broad understanding of all IT areas and technologies.

Design: Object-Oriented Methodologies

Database Design

Digital Audio/Video Encoding High and Low Resolution. Specifically MPEG2, MPEG4, Windows Media, Real Networks, and QuickTime
