Position Responsibilities – Summary

This role is responsible for the ongoing technical operation of our US data
center, located in the in Framingham MA area that supports a growing number
of local and regional systems and services. This role is a hands-on
technical role that reports directly to the US VP of IT Systems.

Detailed Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the ongoing implementation and maintenance of the
system hardware and software of our local data center. This data centre is
a strategic part of the global, regional and local support strategy.

· Manage the regional data centre and ensure security of the servers
and services housed within.

· Ensure regional operational procedures are performed and
documented in the US office, including: activity logs, backups, user
account management, system monitoring.

· Carrying of a 24x7 pager, for 1 week, on a rotational basis.

Required Skills and Competencies:

· Candidate must be knowledgeable, skilled and experienced in
multiple server and networking technologies. The environment is primarily a
Linux environment (CentOS/Ubuntu/SLES) with some Windows Servers.

· Familiarity with LDAP type directory services.

· Tivoli Storage Manager experience

· Candidate should have experience in a 'Critical Systems'
environment, e.g. clustered environments, high uptime etc.

· Scripting skills such as Bash, Batch, Perl or PHP are also an
asset

· Candidate must possess hands-on experience in the management and
configuration of LAN/WAN technologies, including knowledge of DNS
infrastructure, routing and Site to Site VPNs.

· Candidate must have experience with Internet technologies
including: Client VPN, firewall and security services and devices .

· Candidate should have a good understanding of Linux DNS, and it's
relationship to email routing.

Pluses:

· Server hardware and Cisco IOS and hardware knowledge is an
advantage.

· CheckPoint SecurePlatform experience is an advantage.

· Experience supporting Java Application servers, Tomcat preferably.

· Oracle or equivalent Open Source database administration
familiarity.

· VMWare VSphere/ESX/ESXi
