Responsibilities:
* Technical architecture, design, implementation, deployment, and
support of systems that serve needs of Financial Services Organization
* Participate in small to mid-sized development initiatives
involving full-lifecycle development efforts which are based on J2EE,
Linux/Unix and Oracle technologies
* Responsible for code quality and assurance by focusing on static
code analysis, unit testing, design and code reviews, continuous
integration, release management, performance tuning and execution
* Partner with System Analysts and Project Managers to implement
business requirements
* Partner with Project Managers, Technical and QA Leads on
estimates & status, identify issues and escalate risks
* Provide hands-on development guidance and mentoring for junior
members of the development team.

Required Skills and Competencies:
Keys to the Position:
The ideal candidate will have participated in a variety of development
initiatives with core competencies in Java and relational databases.
* Proven object-oriented software design and development experience
using Core Java, JMS or (IBM MQ, ActiveMQ), JSP's, and XML.
* Relational database technologies, knowledge of RDBMS design
concepts as they apply to OLTP and OLAP, SQL, and SQL performance
optimization techniques (Oracle is preferred)
* Experience with industry-leading containers Tomcat or WebLogic
* Strong oral, presentation and written communication skills.
* Financial industry knowledge is a plus
* Desire to grow into a leadership position
Additional Qualifications:
* Experience working on a software engineering team with onshore
and offshore resources
* Experience with industry-leading containers Tomcat or WebLogic
* Proven software development experience with browser-based
applications and technologies
* Proven experience with such technologies as web services,
Groovy/Grails, EXTJS, XML/XSLT, Struts, log4j, ANT, Spring, AJAX

Position Summary:
As a member of the HM (Hedge Management) and IPS (Investment Products and
Strategies) Applications team, this individual will be responsible for
solutions delivery for HM and IPS business domains. This role requires a
well-rounded technologist that can work with stakeholders to build consensus
on vision and then materially lead high visibility projects through
technical design, construction, testing and implementation. A Senior
Software Engineer is expected to:
* Develop complex code components to meet complex business needs
* Lead delivery of high quality business solutions
* Interface and coordinate with the broad Information Services teams
to ensure successful delivery
* Demonstrate strong project management and leadership skills with
ability to handle multiple activities in a dynamic fast paced environment
Responsibilities:

Technical Requirements
* Minimum of 10 years of hands-on design and relevant development
experience
* Strong Java development background with demonstrated experience in

Services and other related technologies (HTML5, CSS3, etc.)
* Demonstrated expertise in relational database technologies
(Oracle) with strong SQL and PL/SQL programming skills
* Working experience with Cloud based environment is desirable, but
not required
* Working experience with mobile development technologies is a plus
* Knowledge of common design patterns and their effective use in the
application
* Experience with, and demonstrated understanding of modern software
development and testing methodologies
Non-Technical Requirements
* Financial Services (Investment Management) a plus
* Demonstrated experience in problem-solving skills and delivery of
quality solutions
* Proven ability to support multiple work streams simultaneously
* Must be self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal
supervision

Responsibilities:
* Assists in providing the safekeeping and integrity of information
assets by maintaining systems and controls that prevent unauthorized access,
modification, disclosure, and/or deletion of information from production
systems networks and resources.

Required Skills and Competencies:
* BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related

* 8 or more years of IT Security Experience

* Professional Experience in UNIX, Windows, Linux, TCP/IP, Storage
Devices, network devices, fail safe strategies, system architecture, LAN and
WAN methods and Intranet/Internet security environments, patch management,
vulnerability testing.
