Garden State Chapter

Date:Tuesday, February 10, 2015
 Topic: The State of Cybersecurity
Today's threat landscape is nothing like that of just 10 years ago. Simple attacks that caused containable damage have given way to modern cybercrime operations that are sophisticated, well-funded, and capable of causing major disruptions to organizations and the national infrastructure.

In this session, we will discuss recent cyber breaches, outline security trends, and highlight new attack vectors. In addition, we will dive into Cisco's new threat-centric security model that covers the before, during, and after phases of an attack. About our Speaker:Dave Frohnapfel, Cisco Systems Engineer, has over 8 years of networking experience. Since joining the Cisco team, Dave has been solving new security challenges for today's evolving threat landscape and focusing the next wave of technology solutions with the 'Internet of Everything'.

Prior to his current role, Dave had extensive enterprise experience building and maintaining large data centers, service delivery networks, and managing an international operations staff during his time at Comcast Cable and CSC.
