Overview
Our client is seeking a Product Services Support (Level III/SME) who will
support hosted applications in the SaaS cloud and co-lo data centers,
provide application and infrastructure domain expertise while supporting the
maintenance and stability of the applications; executing deployments; and
enforcement of IT policies and procedures. The position interfaces with
Level 1 & 2 support personnel, as well as technology suppliers, to drive
critical operations.
This is a two-year contract position with possible option to hire in
Danbury, CT.
Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelors or Masters Degree
* 5-8 years of relevant work experience.
. Knowledge of several competing Storage, Networking,
Virtualisation, Security and Server technologies in a production hosting
environment.
. Strong of knowledge of Operating systems (Wintel, Windows and/or
Red Hat/CentOS / Linux, etc.); Database platforms (Oracle, MS-SQL, NoSQL,
etc).
. Understanding and experience with Cloud based vendors (Amazon,
Terremark etc.) and good practical understanding of PaaS, IaaS and hosting
technology.
. 3-5 years' experience in architecting and deploying SaaS
applications into co-lo or cloud environments.
. Experience in Level 2 & 3 application support and leading support
teams
. Experience in deployment, support & maintenance of enterprise
level infrastructure and hardware, TCP/IP and network troubleshooting.
. Knowledge of Load Balancers, Firewalls and network switching
components.
. Experience with Virtualization and Cloud based computing (VMware,
Oracle OVM & AWS).
. Comprehensive experience of virtual application delivery (Citrix
Xenapp).
. Managing large Windows based domain (AD, group policy, DNS, WSUS,
AV etc.).
. Application, infrastructure and network monitoring tools (Keynote,
Solarwinds, IPSentry etc.)
. Storage architecture and protocols (iSCSI, FC SAN, FCoE etc.).
. Knowledge of infrastructure continuous/high availability.
. Firmware and patch management.
* ITIL, MCSE & VMware certification are definite pluses.
