Many of the organizations listedbelow offer networking meetings that convene monthly, semi-monthly, or weekly.Try to attend at least one or two meetings a week. Many of these groups convenein the evening, so it will not take time away from your daily job searchactivities. Who knows, the person you meet at one of these networking eventsmay be able to introduce you to a hiring manager at one of your targetcompanies.

In traveling to these events, consider carpooling. Not only will itreduce the cost of driving there, but the friendly conversation will make theride seem to go much faster.

For a list of networking groups in your target areas, check out Alex Freund's The Landing Expert List at www.landingexpert.com.
