Spring is almost upon us, a time for change, a time to get out from the winter
doldrums and blossom into a vibrant job seeker, networker, and human being.
Join us this coming Saturday March 12th at the next Meeting of The Breakfast
Club NJ.  Networking starts at 7:30 am.

This Month's Topic: How DISC awareness can Transform Your Career
Practically everyone who has been laid off or fired knows that the primary
reason behind the termination had little or nothing to do with performance. In
this economy it is often due to downsizing, but common factors also include a
difficult boss or being on the wrong side of company politics. In fact, studies
show that the ability to read, adapt to, and connect with people of wide ranging
personalities and agendas, is a far more accurate barometer of career's
longevity and success than traditional technical skills. These same people
skills become all the more critical when navigating a career transition, where
networking and interviewing are as much about personal connection, if not more,
than any achievement bullet on your resume.

To this end, The Breakfast Club NJ has invited a career counselor and author to
discuss a behavioral framework that can help attendees in their job search,
current, or next job. The meeting will begin with each attendee filling out a
one-page assessment, followed by a lecture on and discussion of the four-element
framework
