Position Responsibilities – Summary
The Senior Systems Analyst in the Global Execution Services group will work
closely with the Trading Business Management and Trading Research teams in
the Execution Services department to support the firm's investors and
Equity, Fixed Income and Derivatives trading desks by providing information
and analytics on trading activities and trading counterparties.

This individual will be responsible for gathering requirements, performing
systems analysis and testing, and supporting the applications used and
provided by Execution Services. These applications may be integrated with
other applications and processes used at the firm, including the trading and
order management systems, portfolio management applications, vendor market
data feeds, data marts, reference data stores and reporting applications.

This position requires a high level of direct interaction with business
users, excellent analytical, communication and delivery skills, well
developed aptitude for data analysis, and very strong trading domain
knowledge. Candidate must have the ability to multi-task and work
collaboratively on multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment with
people at all levels of the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Work with business partners to define and document business
requirements
· Collaborate with software developers, database architects,
vendors, and other IS and business teams to analyze and determine functional
specifications and UI design for new applications and enhancements to
existing applications
· Develop deep knowledge and expertise in firm's specific trading
workflows and associated data transformations and migration
· Build reports using OBIEE and help design data model and data
layouts
· Facilitate resolution of production issues by working with
appropriate teams to research problems, track progress and determine and
document solutions
· Assist with the prioritization, tracking and management of
deliverables

Keys to This Position:

1. Strong Systems Analyst skills with SQL
2. Strong knowledge of Trading Systems workflow. We are seeking a
candidate that has had experience as a Systems Analyst in the Trading
Systems area. Ideally this candidate will have worked across multiple asset
classes (i.e. Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives trading).
3. Candidates will have likely worked for either a Buy Side firm (State
Street Global, Putnam, Fidelity, MFS, etc.) or a Vendor such as Charles
River Development, ITG, Thomson Reuters, etc.)

Required Skills and Competencies:

· 5 - 10 years experience as a systems or business analyst in a
financial services technology environment working with trading systems
· Excellent analytical, and written and verbal communication skills
· Experience writing requirements and functional specifications, and
developing and documenting use cases and test plans
· Strong SQL skills and comfort navigating relational databases and
datamarts
· Thorough understanding of the pre-trade, trade and post-trade
lifecycles
· Working familiarity with Oracle Business Intelligence tools is
desirable.
· Ability and willingness to work cooperatively in a fast-paced,
mission-critical production environment with rapidly changing priorities
· Bachelor's degree is required.
· CFA charter, or work towards one, is a plus.

The Global Execution Services team is seeking a Lead Software Engineer.
This lead role will combine quantitative and software engineering skills to
drive development and deliverables that support and forward the GES business
goals.

Key Responsibilities:

· Partner with Business Analysts to understand and implement
business requirements and objectives

· Work closely with the Global Execution Services business and
research teams to understand business needs and to create effective
technical solutions

· Lead the technical design, implementation and deployment of robust

Required Skills and Competencies:

· A minimum of five years of experience in the investment industry,

· Demonstrated understanding of equity and fixed income security
data structures and attributes (including those for related derivatives),
quantitative concepts, and related investment processes

· At least seven years of application designing and programming
experience using Matlab, Java, C/C++, or R. Comfortable in
numerical/statistical programming

· Working knowledge of SQL and relational database technology

· Excellent written and verbal communications skills

· Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical
production environment

· Strong delivery focus and ability to overcome obstacles

· Advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, physics,

1. Technical: This is a hybrid role (60% coding/40% analysis). This role
is 60% hands on coding with Java and some C. The role also requires a
Quantitative background along with Advanced Math. Matlab or R is required.
An Advanced Math degree is highly regarded.

2. Domain: The candidate will require some understanding of Equity or
Fixed Income trading. This individual will sit on the trading floor and
will be constructing models. Therefore, strong communication skills and a
dynamic personality will be greatly beneficial along with a strong
analytical mind.

3. Leadership: This individual will lead a team of 6 (FTE's and

Keys to This Position:

1. Strong Systems Analyst skills are required. We will consider either a
Senior or Lead level candidate.

2. Domain knowledge: The candidate must have knowledge of Fixed Income
instruments as this individual will be working closely with the Investment
Data team as well as the Global Relationship Group (Business Development and
Account Management teams).

3. Technical: This candidate must know SQL to be able to query the
database. We would also like the candidate to be familiar with XML,
Business Intelligence tools (preferably OBIEE), data warehousing, etc. We
are seeking knowledge only so that this individual can work effectively with
the data engineering teams. The person will be operating as an Analyst so
the knowledge does not need to be as deep as the engineers.

4. Excellent communication skills are required.

Required Skills and Competencies:

· Minimum of 7 years of experience in a systems analysis role
supporting investment or client reporting applications

· Strong understanding of the investment processes, financial
markets and statistics, with a deep knowledge of Fixed Income instruments
and practices, including mortgage backed securities, swaps and other
derivatives

· Demonstrated experience in business analysis for large systems
