DESCRIPTIONS:
* Plans, coordinates, leads and delivers employee training and development programs by performing the following duties personally or through others including outside resources.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
1. Confers with President, Vice Presidents, Directors, Supervisors, Lead Operators, and Employees to determine training needs. Leads the Training Steering Committee
2. Conducts systematic needs analysis to identify specific training needs of various locations, functions and levels of employees. Travel to all locations is required.
3. Collects evaluation data to assess effectiveness of all categories and types of training.
4. Maintains employee training records for all locations to comply with Company Quality System.
5. Formulates training policies, procedures, programs and schedules based on identified training needs, company and production processes, or changes in products, procedures, or services.
6. Selects appropriate delivery -- inside or outside the company and on-the-job or classroom -- as well as self study, group instruction, video, case studies, on line, etc.
7. Organizes and develops training programs, materials, media, and tests.
8. Recommends and approves training vendors.
10. Recommends and approves external seminars and education for all employees.
11. Prepares applications and proposals for submission to fund granting authorities.
12. Stays on the cutting edge of workplace learning.
13. Administers the Tuition Reimbursement Program.
14. Travel to all locations, vendors and training sessions when required.
15. Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university applicable to position. 
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
* Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Spanish as a second language a plus. 
Pluses: 
* Certification from American Society for Training and Development (ASTD).
* If not certified, ASTD sessions will be scheduled. 
* Member of Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
* Excellent personal computer skills for MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio.
