Title: Business Systems Analyst for Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence
Location: Stamford, CT- ON SITE MUST BE ABLE TO RELOCATE
Pay rate:  $60/hour W2 or 1099 and Salary is Open
Duration:  10 Month contract to hire  
Work Authorization: EAD holder, Green Card holder, U. S. Citizen
Start date: ASAP
Description:
Business Systems Analyst for Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence - Contractor to Hire Position
· Collaborate with the business teams to gather and define detailed requirements for data warehouse and Microstrategy enhancements and modifications
Work with the business sponsor to outline the business case          Interview the business team to understand current processes and the project's requirements
·Complete business requirement documents which have a broader description of requirements and in addition complete use cases which cover detailed requirements. 
·Complete any wireframes for  Microstrategy reports which visually assist the business and tech team to ensure the requirements are understood
·Ensure sign off from the business and tech team of the requirements and use case documents
·Update and tag requirements into Reqpro and ensure linked to enable QA to test all requirements
·Liaise with the tech and business team to clarify requirements and update documents throughout the project
·Follow change management process for any additional requirements that surface during the project
·Collaborate with the business team to coordinate User Acceptance Testing ensuring resources are available, location and venue confirmed and a process in place to track defects and enhancement prioritization
Measure the success of the project based on meeting deadlines, budget and the business case
·Create use case surveys, estimates for funding, vision documents, use cases and supplemental  specifications for internal development projects related to the Data Warehouse and Microstrategy platform ·         Create and maintain visual models, including activity diagrams, data flows, logical data models, and sequence diagrams where necessary Education
·Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
Experience
2-5 years BA experience in the Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence space
Nice to have:  Specific knowledge of Hotel Front Office/Reservations experience
Understanding of relational databases and experience with SQL and data mapping is highly desirable
Business Intelligence and reporting experience. 
Microstrategy preferred but other BI tools acceptable.
Must have strong oral and written communications skills and ability to communicate effectively with both users and technical people
·Nice to have: User experience / information architect work experience
·Nice to have: ETL knowledge

Position: Director of IT FLSA Status: Full time Exempt
Reports to: CFO Location: near Hartford CT
Department: Information Technology Effective: February 2012

Position Summary:
The Director of Information Technology shall provide leadership and management to the Information Technology department in its charge to provide, operate, and maintain computing and telecommunication facilities, equipment, and services that meet the needs of the Company's clients, business partners and executive, sales, operations and administrative personnel. The Director of IT is responsible for all aspects of information technology management and control, including supervision of information technology employees; budget preparation and management; recommendations for technical acquisitions; and development of guidelines, standards and procedures. The Director is charged with strategic planning, tactical action, and operational decision-making to fulfill the mission of the Company and the IT department. The Director must possess initiative, have broad relevant technical knowledge with at least three years management experience in a similar role and
must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Reports To:
The Director of Information Technology is a full-time staff position reporting directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities include:

Departmental Management:

• Provide leadership, vision, and management to the Company and within the IT department
• Oversee the development and execution of an IT Strategic Plan in concert with the overall Company strategic plan
• Work with employees, vendors and business partners to assess and respond to the Company's IT needs
• Supervise the ongoing operations of the IT helpdesk providing quality and timely support to Company employees
• Provide day-to-day supervision, conduct performance appraisals, and delegate work assignments for all IT personnel
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, and providing appropriate training for IT support staff
• Develop and administer the department budget

Hardware and Systems Software:
• Establish data and telecommunications infrastructure to support the Company's current and foreseeable business needs
• Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages
• Assess new computing technologies and the feasibility of system enhancements to determine potential value for the college
• Supervise the ordering, acquisition, inventorying, and disposition of hardware and software
• Serve as primary contact with outside vendors in the generation of RFPs, bids, contracts, agreements, and other major relevant vendor interactions
• Stay current with emerging information technologies

Systems Operations and Maintenance:
• Maintain the integrity and continual operation of the Company's network and telecommunications capabilities
• Ensure the continual functioning of mission critical operations
• Maintain security and privacy of the information systems, communication lines, and equipment.
• Develop, review, and certify all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans
• Oversee IT related aspects of all facilities, construction and renovation projects
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The successful candidate must possess a user-centered attitude and a desire to work in an entrepreneurial and team oriented environment that serves a diverse population, both geographically and from a user skillset perspective.
Minimum Education, Skills and Abilities:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or a related field and at least three years relevant management/leadership experience
• Strong analytical and logical problem solving skills
• Strong interpersonal communication and relational skills, good organizational and project management skills; sound judgment; initiative; flexibility; detail-oriented
• Documented working experience with Microsoft Windows Environments
• Experience with network design, configuration, installation, maintenance, support and troubleshooting, including TCP/IP networks supporting VoIP telephony
• Experience with applications design and development/programming is a plus
