Description:

Project Manager IT Infrastructure

Project/Department Description and responsibilities
. Corporate IT Infrastructure projects, GPM USA

Environment Development Tool(s) and Platform(s)
General experience and conceptual understanding of:
. Windows 200X Server Platform incl. SQL, IIS, Sharepoint
. VMWare, Citrix
. Unix, Oracle
. SAP
. Cisco equipment and network topology

Primary Tasks and responsibilities
. Specify ITSS project requests, taking into account ITSS guidelines and
procedures; Group, prioritize and optimize those requests
. Take responsibility for gathering project requirements, define/document
solutions, scope, and
associated project costs and estimating effort and resources needed.
. Responsible for assembling project teams, identifying appropriate resource
needs, develop and execute project plans, and assign individual team member
responsibilities. Function as a team builder for all projects managed.
. Create required project management, system life cycle, compliance
validation documentation
. Ensure approvals of documentation is completed and documents stored
appropriately
. Ensure scope management and appropriate change request process is followed

. Coordinate project activity, including meetings/updates, design and
execution of test plans, validating systems and processes.
. Partner with other IT organizations to complete projects and documentation

. Ensure project progress, status reporting and milestones are completed
before base line dates
. Ensure project timelines are managed and project details in Clarity tool
maintained
. Track, schedule and manage issues to ensure ITSS commitment dates and
project deliverables are met.
. Deliver projects within requested timeframe and budget.
. Ensure standards/architecture are followed or creating/presenting waivers
to deviate
. Ensure infrastructure is available and documentation completed before
baseline date and project closure is completed and recorded appropriately
. Establish and maintain partner relationships with business partners
including effectively communicating to team, stakeholders, other IT groups
(written and oral) Communicate project status to project sponsors and
stakeholders.
. Become expert in software implementation lifecycle (SDLC/SILC),
incorporate industry best practice methodologies

Technical profile requirements
. Project Management experience in an international and multicultural
environment (budgets, plan, schedule, issue tracking/remediation, risk
analysis, etc.) (+5 years)
. Experience with end user support integrations or environments (ITIL)
. Computer infrastructure operations or deployment background
. Background managing projects in an FDA regulated environment preferred.
. Experience developing project management, and project methodology
documentation.

Non-Technical profile requirements
. Experience managing local and remote technical teams.
. Some flexibility in working hours is required (occasional over-time or
weekend/holiday work)
. Travel can occur occasionally but will be limited
. Strong tracking, coordination and project planning skills
. Strong leadership skills and able to motivate teams is a must
. Ability to identify and implement process and/or application improvements
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
. Must be able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited
supervision
. Quick learner, motivated self-starter
. Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication (verbal /
written), and team collaboration skills
. Able to follow change management procedures and internal guidelines

Methodology/Certification requirements
. Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science OR
equivalent through experience. Advanced course work in technical systems
plus continued education in technical disciplines is preferred
. PMP certification is a plus.

Language proficiencies
. English spoken and written
