Essential Functions/Duties Performed Regularly:
* Develop an enterprise call center strategy that will address the requirements of a rapidly changing high growth business environment
* Deep domain experience in HR and benefit outsourcing solutions to clients across the globe

Pfizer Consumer Healthcare is looking for a Director, Consumer Insights to join our gastro-intestinal (GI) franchise on our US marketing team based in Madison, NJ.

JOB SUMMARY

Under general direction of the Sr. Director Global Consumer Insights, the U.S. Director Insights for Gastro-Intestinal is responsible for leading a U.S. consumer insights team that becomes a competitive advantage for the division within the Gastro-Intestinal categories, proactively championing the consumer perspective as the U.S. Insights lead within the U.S. Business team and passionately driving insights to business building programs. This role will have responsibility for delivering best in class insights for communication, branding, innovation, and packaging. This role will have responsibility for leading and developing the members of their team, as well as championing a culture of teamwork and sharing, which will help accelerate development of a high performance team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Functional Excellence - Leverage "Best in Class" tools and techniques to discover insights that address business issues and drive programs for the Gastro-Intestinal categories. Partner with external suppliers and internal Insights team members to identify and appropriately apply new tools and techniques that keep us ahead of competition. Share new tools and techniques with other Insights practitioners to drive best practices across the organization. 
•Team leadership - Develop a vision and related work plans for the U.S. Gastro-Intestinal categories Insights team. Promote and foster an environment of teamwork within the category Insights team and across the other internal Insights teams. Train and nurture direct reports to create a manager level of Insights experts
•Cross functional alignment - Use consumer insights to build cross functional alignment with U.S. Brand, Product Development, Advertising, and Shopper Insights teams. Serve as an active member of the cross functional business teams with accountability for bringing the consumer perspective, or "voice of the consumer," and commercial understanding to project prioritization and strategic discussions. 
•Innovation - Drive category innovation by leveraging best in class tools and techniques. Work with cross functional Team to prioritize growth initiatives, and then develop them from concept refinement to commercialization. Working to maximize each innovation by driving superior understanding of positioning, claims, consumer perceived value/pricing and in-store shopper behavior. 
•Business Strategy - Help develop Brand Strategies and commercial best practices through participation in strategic brand plan reviews, business plan reviews, and advertising/copy reviews with the goal of leading the organization through a cultural evolution to the more rigorous use of consumer insights. 
•Competitive understanding - Develop better understanding of competitive activity impacting Gastro-Intestinal categories strategy, through enhancement of competitive intelligence capability.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

•Shared ownership of Gastro-Intestinal categories strategy and Portfolio Prioritization that reflect superior consumer insights and deliver short term, as well as long term financial objectives.
•Improved brand health in Gastro-Intestinal categories, reflected and measured at the affiliate level by one or more of the following: 
oIncreases in market share.
oAdvertising test scores that are at or above action standard and deliver increased sales.
oIncreasing awareness, relevance, trial, and/or loyalty as measured by ongoing Attitude & Usage or Tracking studies.
•Definition of a pipeline of differentiated global growth opportunities in categories/markets adjacent to our core business.
•Presentation to Global Franchise Team of a clearly defined set of new product and claim development priorities for the Gastro-Intestinal categories, needed to achieve plan objectives. 
•For Key Global Growth initiatives:
oDeliver final BASES volumetric results that meet or exceed action standards
oProduct meets volume expectations for launch year
•Constructive relationship with global affiliates directly and through direct reports, that allows for best practice sharing and influence on commercial planning.
•Category and brand insights which have been translated into trade class/account specific insights, enabling us to achieve superior results within our top accounts in major affiliates around the world.

Qualifications 
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

•Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or other Market Research related degrees (e.g. Psychology, Anthropology, Statistics, etc.), preferably a Masters degree
•An understanding of Pharmaceutical OTC/FMCG industry and marketing.
•Minimum of 7 years experience in FMCG or within OTC Pharmaceuticals. 
•Minimum of 7 years of Insights experience with a proven track record in direct to consumer advertising, market research, and new product commercialization. 
•Proven ability to uncover insights which can be used to successfully redirect and accelerate brands.
•Proven track record of cross functional team participation in successful product launches 
•Experience managing a team preferred
