Job Description :
Distributed Application Deployment Engineer
This position will be responsible for executing application deployments to all environments for all applications on the distributed platforms. This is a position with high visibility, with opportunity for growth.
The candidate must have -
· Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to be assertive as well as diplomatic.
· Familiarity with Unix and its basic commands, including the ability to navigate the file systems, view log files and diagnose simple shell script issues
· Familiarity with Windows, including basic access, simple batch commands and network shares.
· Some familiarity with version control systems
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office and SharePoint
The candidate would be well served to have -
· Familiarity with the software development cycle and release management
Technical Skills :
· UNIX, Linux, Windows
· Shell scripting and CA Harvest experience a plus
Level Expectations:
Possess in-depth knowledge of the tools and processes required by the role
Functions in complex environments with minimal direction
Solid individual performance while partnering with others
Works well through self-directed effort
May provide technical assistance to resolve operating issues.
