Minimum 10yrs (Windows Server) experience in IT infrastructure design or support.
Can design an entire system configuration including hardware, software, and communications.
Can define a total disaster recovery plan and present the client with various options
Work with and manage multiple suppliers
Specific responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Identify applications as candidates for virtualization migration and provide infrastructure design of Client platform
Translating Business Requirements to Technical Requirements
Matching Technical Requirements to standard product offerings
Determining potential hosting environments for new applications
Create and maintain the Technical Requirements Document (TRD)
Create and maintain the Infrastructure Design Document (IDD)
Create and maintain any hardware / project cost estimations (CWB)
Maintaining all documentation in the common document repository
Interfacing with Engineering teams as required for the project (Internal Design Reviews)
Interfacing with the PM and Business Partner as required for the project (External Design Reviews)
Maintaining the current status of each design request and providing a weekly update to the management team
Completing all design requests via the Workflow process on time
Team Responsibilities includes, but not limited to:
Accurately track and submit time spent on each work effort
Use the DMAIC framework for all design projects
Following through on process improvement opportunities, using the past to learn for the future
Maintaining a consistent focus throughout the design project on the customer and business goals of the project.
Demonstrate Clien core values
Required technical skills include:
Virtualization (ESX)
Data Center Migrations
Broad technology expertise across the following technology product area is required. Deep subject matter expertise in one or more is desirable.
oMid-Range Hardware / Operating systems - SUN,HP, IBM; Solaris, Linux, Windows Server
oMid-Range Storage -EMC, Hitachi, SAN, NAS - Network Appliance, NFS, CIFS, GFS. Etc
oMiddleware Hosting - BEA Weblogic, MS IIS, Sun One Java Webserver, JBoss etc.
oMessaging Platforms - IBM WebSphere MQ, BEA JMS, Tibco RV/RD, Sonic MQ, UI Empire
oNetwork Infrastructure - BigIP, 3DNS
Strong communication skills are key
+MS Office products (Visio, Project, Word, Excel, Outlook
Other Criteria:
Previous Brokerage GWIM technology experience is preferred
Large financial firm/ Bank experience required
***potential to Split time between NYC office and Hopewell, NJ office****
