Position Responsibilities - Summary

The Equity Strategic Solutions team engages thought leaders in the Equity,
Fixed Income, Asset Allocation and Commodities portfolio management areas to
provide systems that aid information discovery, idea generation, portfolio
construction, and portfolio monitoring and risk management.

This Lead Software Engineer position is a senior role providing advanced
investment research and collaboration solutions amongst investment
professionals with active long and short exposure to all asset classes i.e.
stocks, bonds, currencies, and commodities and all derivatives based on
these instruments. The successful candidate will lead engineering efforts
to streamline the investment research process, idea sharing, and investor
collaboration globally.

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility for this position is to advance investor research
and effectiveness for the benefit of our client via our investment research
platform, and manage all aspects of solution delivery.

Detailed responsibilities include:

* Engage directly with investment professionals located globally
and provide support for existing applications

* Hands-on system architecture planning, technical design,
implementation and delivery of solutions worldwide

* Prototype solutions and take on ad-hoc development projects

* Assist with quality assurance testing

* Stay up to date on latest technology trends

Required Skills and Competencies:

* Minimum of 8 years of professional experience as a hands on
software engineer with superb communication skills and attention to detail

* Specific professional expertise in multitier, .NET technologies
including C#, ASP.NET WebForms, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API, WCF,
JavaScript, SharePoint.

* Extensive database developer experience in Oracle/SQL Server

* Must be self-starter possessing drive and ability to work with
minimal supervision at times

* Demonstrated experience delivering highly complex, low latency
systems initiatives and the ability to meaningfully contribute to the
development of a comprehensive, business-oriented systems strategy

* Foundational understanding of the investment process

* Solid agile software development methodology expertise

* It is highly desired that this individual has several years of
experience in the financial industry, and possesses a strong understanding
of financial markets, statistics, analytics, and market data services for
equities, commodities and derivatives.

Keys to this Position:

1) Technology: We are seeking a strong hands-on developer with the
following .NET technology skill set: C#, ASP.NET WebForms, ASP.NET MVC,
ASP.NET Web API, WCF, JavaScript, and SharePoint.

2) We are seeking an individual with an Engineering mindset that can
think strategically as well as tactically (not just a hands-down coder but
someone that can offer creative technology insights).

3) Leadership: This individual will lead project tracks, but will not
directly manage people.

4) Financial Services is a big plus. This individual will interface with
the Investment Research team so having a grasp of the financial services
industry is helpful.

5) Sources: The ideal candidate will come out of another asset manager
(buy side), sell side, financial software vendor or Microsoft shop. A strong
Microsoft technologist does not need to have financial services experience.

Position Summary:

This individual will be responsible for supporting systems and business
users for the Investment Operations and Derivative Operations Systems areas
within Investment Administration, including systems spanning Reconciliation,
Corporate Actions, Operations Services, and Trade Operations functions,
including support for applications used for SWIFT and Trade Communications.

This Senior Support Analyst function is a role which requires a high level
of interaction with the business, along with excellent analytical,
communication, and troubleshooting skills. The candidate should have domain
knowledge from another asset manager or financial services firm supporting
an operations business group.

Responsibilities:

* Oversee the resolution of moderate to complex problems that
originate from members of the business as well as related application teams
and systems. These include issues with applications and batch processes.

* Work with contractor team members to oversee, monitor, and
promote quality of output, ensure that tasks are being performed according
to standards, and identify areas for cross-training and knowledge sharing
among team members.

* Provide leadership as Incident Manager when necessary

* At times, evening and weekend work may be required in order to
provide routine revolving coverage, to address critical production issues,
or to provide oversight for disaster recovery testing, smoke testing or
other off-hours activities.

* Establish and maintain effective client relationships and help
guide the team in setting priorities for completion of requests or
resolution of issues.

* Work closely with business and IT teams to proactively identify
opportunities for new and improved systems, as well as identifying gaps and
minimizing incidents.

* Take ownership of issues in a fast-paced production environment
and collaborate with other teams on remediation and lead them through to
completion.

* Provide support for other Firm wide initiatives such as Disaster
Recovery testing, system and infrastructure upgrades, and security audits.

* Key to this role is business communication, expectations
management, prompt support, follow-ups and status reporting.

* Review and document existing processes and propose process or
system improvements to reduce support cost and/or streamline business
processes and workflows.

Required Skills and Competencies:

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Minimum of ten years of experience in IT industry with five
years' experience from another asset manager or financial services firm
supporting an operations business group and related systems.

* Motivated, agile and able to work independently in a fast paced
team-oriented environment

* Demonstrate strong client focus and relationship management
skills

* Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high
attention to detail and strong commitment to quality

* Strong crisis and incident management skills with prior
experience in a similar support role is a must

* Working knowledge of ANSI SQL with RDBMS like Oracle is a must

* Prior hands-on experience with Java/Unix/Tomcat solutions is a
plus

* Previous experience acting in a business analysis/developer
capacity, including software requirements gathering is a plus

* Bachelor's degree required, with a major in Computer Science or
related field is preferred

1. Seeking 10 plus years of experience. 90% of this role is Supporting
Critical Business Systems that include Investment Operations and Derivatives
Operations.

2. Financial Services are required.

3. Technical: SQL and Oracle database skills are required. The candidate
needs strong SQL with Oracle to be able to extract data from the data base.

4. The candidate will need to have strong troubleshooting skills and be
detail oriented. Java background is a plus.

5. Hands-on Production Support experience is required.

6. Excellent communication skills are required as this candidate will
interface daily with the business
