Associate Director, Service Delivery and Implementation

JOB SUMMARY:
To coordinate with Business Units to identify opportunities and facilitate organizational improvement. Formulate business systems plans, cost estimates and ensure projects meet strategic needs. Improves business processes and supports critical business strategies by directing the development, implementation, and maintenance of business applications systems and services. Leads multiple projects and oversees technical staff and partners to ensure that client specifications are met.
Manage the Information Technology portfolio. Provide quality assurance and control for Information Technology initiatives. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training plans for the department.

Accountabilities Importance %
1. Use strong technical skills, business intelligence and a full understanding of the needs of the customer (Business Unit) to support business long term strategy. Evaluate, plan and implement cost effective service related solutions. 20
2. Act as an information technology liaison to the Business in support of their system/application needs - whether leveraging existing technology or specific functionality or implementing new solutions. Implementation can mean managing the implementation of said solution from SOW to production. 20
3. Work alongside Business Managers and with Client Services teams to actively manage and support client integrations. 20
4. Work with Infrastructure and Service Desk teams to define new technology programs, document the business requirements for projects, and prepare projects for evaluation in the project prioritization process, and oversee projects throughout their entire lifecycle 10
5. Become a knowledge expert on all products and technologies that are implemented in support of the business. Act as escalation point for business Application or IT provisioning issues. 15
6. Provide service metrics and reporting for Information Technology department. 5

REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
College Degree Preferred

Experience (e.g. Jobs, supervisory, industry, international, etc…):
- 15+ IT experience supporting multiple layers of technology.
- Prior Management and 3rd party management roles a must

Specialized knowledge, Licenses, etc.:
- PMP certification helpful

Director, Service Delivery & Implementation

JOB SUMMARY:
The Director, Service Delivery & Implementation is responsible for the on-time delivery and reliable operation of technology solutions and services to the business. The Director SD&I will lead cross functional teams in the global delivery of complex solutions as well as develop and manage IT service level agreements, and operational goals which are tied to long-term objectives of the company. He / She will serve as final point of escalation for problem resolution in the multisite environment.

1. Plan, coordinate, direct, and design all service delivery activities of the IT department, as well as provide direction and support for Global IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations. 40
2. Work closely functional department heads to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. 20

3. Architect strategic enterprise systems solutions, ensuring they meet availability, scalability, security, and business continuity goals as well as monitor emerging technology developments and identify opportunities / areas for improvement. 20
4. Review and assess the reliability and performance of IT systems to determine operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements; initiating preventive and corrective actions as required. 5

7. Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. 5

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

Experience (e.g. Jobs, supervisory, industry, international, etc…):
- 10+ years progressive IT experience, preferably in life sciences
- Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
- Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Experience in IT strategic planning and development, project management, and policy development.
- Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems.
- Excellent understanding and technical knowledge of current network and operating systems, hardware, protocols, and standards.
- Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management.
- Proven track record of delivering cost effective solutions in a dynamic, cost conscience environment
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Demonstrated alignment with the companies values and culture
- The candidate should also have working knowledge of key functional applications and regulations pertinent to a publicly listed pharmaceutical company:
