| We are seeking a Telephony Architect to develop the long term vision and maintain the high-level design plan for the overall logical and technical architecture of Wiley's telephony solutions and related capabilities. In this role, you will provide technical thought leadership and consulting across the organization, from strategic decision making down to the project planning level. You will gain organizational commitment for all high-level telephony plans that enable Wiley colleagues, customers and partners / providers to perform the necessary business functions enabled by these technologies, and initiate and participate in projects to evaluate technologies and methods for implementing these plans. You will also play a critical role in defining the strategy and policies to ensure Wiley's compliance with the necessary regulatory environments such as PCI. This role will be an integral part of defining the telephony required to support follow the sun customer service capabilities for both internal and external customers. Requirements –
- Educated to University Degree level Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years experience designing enterprise-wide telephony solutions
- Ability to evaluate various technology capabilities and assess their applicability to our present and future needs
- Exceptional analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills
- Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language to colleagues at all levels of the organization
- Self-starter with a highly developed sense of responsibility
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technology assisted solutions
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work both independently and as part of a global and multi-culturally diverse team
