Fugazzie MBAProgram Coordinator Ready To Work NJ | Founder ofNeighbors-helping-Neighbors USA | Adjunct Professor TheNew Jersey Community College Consortium has been awarded the Ready to WorkGrant. This grant is designed to help unemployed workers rapidly return to workand to assist employers with their hiring needs at NO COST to either party.
Applications are now being accepted from employers for On-the-Job TrainingSalary Reimbursement. This salary reimbursement can be applied to any new hirethat meets the following criteria:
• NJ Resident
• Unemployed or Underemployed for 6+ months
• Has obtained at least a High school Diploma or GED
• Will be working in the Manufacturing, Information Technology, or Life Sciencesectors
• Priority given to Veterans
New hires can come from the Consortium candidate pool, referrals or others youfind on your own. Below is an overview of the salary reimbursement:
• Up to $10,000 per new hire
• Up to 90% of their hourly wages we can reimbursable
• $12/hour minimum pay
• For the purpose of On-the-Job training of new Full-Time employees
Please, keep this in mind if you have, or anticipate hiring new employees. Overthe next 4 years the program to provide free work-based training at the 19Community Colleges for unemployed workers will be continued.
