Position Responsibilities - Summary

The Fixed Income Systems team is responsible for providing front-office
Information Services capabilities to my client's Fixed Income Investment
teams. The team plays a critical role in the firm's success by providing
technical solutions that improve the efficiency, speed and quality of the
highly complex investment decision-making process.

As a member of the Fixed Income Systems team, this individual will be
responsible for solutions delivery for the Fixed Income Investment business.
This is an ideal opportunity for an IT professional to apply business and/or
technical skills to enable investment process to become more efficient:

* Lead delivery of high quality business solutions;

* Interface and coordinate with the broad Information Services teams
to ensure successful delivery;

* Demonstrate strong project management and leadership skills with
ability to handle multiple activities in a dynamic fast paced environment.

* Interact with Investment professionals at all levels of the
organization as needed, to proactively identify opportunities for
new/improved systems to improve the investment process.

Responsibilities:

* Lead the implementation of business solutions in conjunction with
the technical development.

* Perform gap analysis between investment process and existing
systems.

* Lead and establish effective processes for productive partnership
with offshore technical teams.

* Lead implementation of business process improvements involving
(but not limited to) investment process efficiency, data quality
improvements and simplifying investor workflow.

Required Skills and Competencies:

Technical Requirements

* Minimum of five years of hands-on design and development
experience in commercial environments.

* Experience with, and demonstrated understanding of modern software
development and testing methodologies.

* Excellent analytical and problem skills using either one or both
of the following - Intermediate level expertise with SQL and Excel VBA

* Experience in relevant financial domain i.e. business technical
understanding of Fixed Income, Derivatives securities or financial markets
like Foreign Exchange, Money Market, etc.

* Experience developing J2EE applications using JDBC, JNDI, JMS and
other related technologies like Swing, RCP, developing Web applications
using JSP, AJAX, SPRING, Web Services and other related technologies (HTML5,
etc) is strong plus.

* Intermediate level expertise with SQL and Excel VBA

Non-Technical Requirements

* Degree in Computer Science or directly related field

* Excellent written and verbal communications skills

* Willingness to work independently in an energetic, fast-paced,
business-critical and team oriented-environment

* CFA or working towards CFA is a strong plus.

* Demonstrated experience in problem-solving skills and delivery of
quality solutions with good mathematical acumen.

* A strong team player, with ability to work in collaboration across
teams.

Keys to this Position:

The ideal candidate will be a combination Systems Analyst and Java Developer
at the senior level. However we will consider an Analyst or a Developer at
the Lead level.

Background 1 (Software Engineer): The candidate will have a strong
technical developer background. The technical skill set should include the
following: Java/J2EE, Web Services, Front-end development, Swing/RCP.
Domain knowledge is not required however the candidate should have a strong
desire to learn the business.

Background 2 (Systems Analyst): The candidate will have strong domain
knowledge as a Business or Systems Analyst. The Domain knowledge that is
required includes some of the following: Fixed Income, Derivatives,
FX/Currency, Asset Allocation, etc. A CFA is highly desired. For this
profile we are only looking for light technical skills with Excel and SQL.
We will pair this candidate with a programmer.

Position Responsibilities - Summary

The Investment View Systems team within IA seeks an individual who will take
on important responsibilities for analysis, design, devise solutions and
make contributions in connection with projects related to our real-time,
multi-dimensional data model that provides exposures at all look-through
levels of a holding.

In the Investment View (IV) area, this individual will take on moderate to
complex issues that originate from our business or from other application
teams.

It is expected that this individual will become knowledgeable enough in the
applications and processes that we support, such as modeling of complex
derivatives, look-through market values and exposures for various financial
instruments, so that he/she can take an active role in solving problems or
directing other team members in doing so themselves. This individual will
also be heavily involved in designing, supporting, improving, and developing
data validation and productivity tools and processes within this area.

This individual will not only lead IV Analyst/QA team but also have
responsibilities in performing business analysis and design of new features,
functionality and instruments. It is expected that the individual will
reach a high level of proficiency within 3 months with instrument
structures, batch processes and other aspects of this data model. This
individual will also be responsible to manage and co-ordinate IV releases
and works with IV consumers to get sign off before deploying changes to
production.

Responsibilities:

* Work with QA/Analyst team members to oversee and approve their
work, monitor and promote quality of output, ensure that projects and tasks
are being performed according to standards and in conformity with business
requirements, and identify areas for cross training and knowledge sharing
among team members.

* On a regular basis, evening and weekend work will be required in
order to provide routine revolving coverage, to address critical production
issues, or to provide oversight for disaster recovery testing, smoke testing
or other off-hours activities.

* Provide leadership as Incident Commander when necessary.

* Establish and maintain effective client relationships and help
guide the team in setting priorities for completion of requests or
resolution of issues.

* Manage and facilitate implementation of business solutions aimed
at investment process efficiency, data quality improvements and simplifying
investor work flow.

* Oversee the resolution of moderate to complex problems that
originate from members of the business as well as related application teams.
These include issues with Investment View for various financial instruments,
open orders, holdings and transactions, and other applications and
processes.

Required Skills and Competencies:

* Minimum of ten years of experience in IT industry with seven
years of experience in supporting buy-side investment systems.

* Strong understanding of various financial instruments including
complex derivative securities.

* Demonstrated experience in business analysis for medium to large
initiatives.

* Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.

* Motivated, agile and able to work independently in a fast paced
team oriented environment. Committed to deliver projects on time and

individual will design, develop, and support systems for the Portfolio
Accounting team. Our systems cover a diverse variety of transaction types
which are used to calculate near real-time accounting data that is used

candidate does not need to possess all of these technologies. They just need
to be a solid Java/SQL developer and we can train them in the other areas.

4. This individual will guide offshore team members so leadership skills
are highly desired.

5. The development work tends to be more on the back end, but there is also
some front end development as well.
