To provide welding courses to a select population of prisoner, that have the potential to lead to welder qualification and certification. The courses include

• Safety (48 hours)
• SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) also known as stick (48 hours)
• GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) also known as MIG (48 hours)
• FCAW (Flux Cored Arc Welding) (48 hours)
• GTAW Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) also known as TIG (48 hours)

Each participant will be provided the necessary background and hands-on experience to meet the fundamentals and understand the theory for qualification and certification, but it is up to the individual to perform at the necessary standard to attain credentialing.  The program will be delivered in the facility.  Instructors must pass required background check.
