As for the Infrastructure manager, it is more of a Sr. Engineer with strong technical skills with some managerial skills. I'm looking for someone to re-setup the environment starting with the core 6500 switches, setting up a new Active Directory domain, setting up Exchange from scratch, implementing a SAN, configuring SQL clusters and databases. The person will also be an operations manager responsible for all of Infrastructure uptime throughout the company. If managerial skills are strong he/she will oversee 3 employees directly plus few more indirectly.

Certifications I would like for the person to have are MCSE & CCNP as a must, and any other Cisco voice certification is preferred.

Lightning Fast Workload Optimization with Double-Take Software and Silver Peak Systems

Date:
September 10, 2009

Time:
11:30 am — 1:30 pm

Edward's Steakhouse
239 Marin Boulevard
Jersey City, NJ 07302
Complementary lunch will be provided.

Workloads are physical or virtual servers or desktops, applications and data sets that provide productivity to your workforce. As a Senior IT professional responsible for ensuring critical infrastructure management, you know it is increasingly difficult to manage your workloads quickly and efficiently.
Double-Take Software and Silver Peak Systems are excited to bring you this exclusive invitation to our upcoming lunch seminar. In this informative session, you will get an in-depth look at leading workload optimization and WAN acceleration technologies, including:

X2X Workload Migration: Quickly move workloads—without taking applications off-line—between any combination of physical and virtual servers and storage within datacenters or over any geographical distance for datacenter migrations and consolidations.
Workload Backup: Continuously backup workloads and efficiently recover them—from the item level to any point in time—on demand, even to a new physical or virtual machine. The perfect solution for Remote Office Centralized Backup—stop relying on slow and tedious traditional restoration as your primary recovery method.
Workload Availability: Ensure the immediate availability of critical IT workloads for disaster recovery and business continuity using real-time replication and failover that can protect individual applications, entire servers or virtualized workloads running on VMware ESX or Microsoft Hyper-V.
Workload Flexibility: Easily manage any workload fast by booting it from iSCSI SANs, regardless of hardware and without the need for specialized HBAs.
How to Optimize Workloads quickly and efficiently over any distance, local or global.
You will also hear customer successes and best practices for implementing WAN Acceleration and Double-Take workload optimization products together.
For more information, please contact Barry Campbell at Silver Peak Systems: bcampbell@silver-peak.com or Catherine Kraus at Double-Take Software: ckraus@doubletake.com.

FOR NOW:

They need 3 asp.net developers, with SQL 2005/2008 on the back end to augment there staff.
THe keys are asp.net, SQL backend development and experience with insurance claims processing.
Also superb communication skills are a must!!
Candidates must come from environments where practice models are utilized

If you have any connections that would appreciate learning more about these jobs in the NY/NJ area, I would very much appreciate the intro.

Thanks so much

Your Local Member Meetings

Dear John:

As much as I love the social tools that have been developed the last few years, they do not replace the need to actually meet people in person. Online activities like "friending" business associates on Facebook or Tweeting about looking for a job cannot replace face-to-face meetings where people can get to know one another and trusted connections can be made.

That's why ExecuNet members have the opportunity to meet in person every month at events across the country. Believe me, these in-person meetings really work. Through the years, many of our members have met this way and made valuable connections that led to great career or business opportunities. Each meeting is hosted and facilitated by a trusted professional career advisor. Here are a few events happening soon near you:
