My name is Lisa West and I am a recruiter with the Adecco - Morgan Stanley Team. Morgan Stanley is one of the world's largest and most respected financial service companies, with a long-standing reputation for excellence on a global scale.

We are currently seeking a Linux System Engineer - Enterprise Business Intelligence at our New York City location.

The ideal Linux System Engineer - Enterprise Business Intelligence should have:

Minimum 5-8 years of professional IT experience (preferably working within an information technology organization in a systems-engineer/product-engineer/integration-engineer position
Strong Linux/UNIX (preferably Red Hat) experience both in working with the operating system and in the installation of enterprise software packages.
Current ETL (preferably Informatica) experience (preferably in a system administration, product installation and architecting capacity)
Good troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Ability to multitask
Must be able to work independently
Comfortable working with Windows desktop and standard Microsoft Office applications

Skills Desired:

Perl scripting
Korn shell scripting
Sybase (or other relational DBMS)
Revision Control System (RCS) or Perforce
AutoSys job scheduling software
NetCool alerting and monitoring
Past experience working with a range of Data Integration/Business Intelligence products, preferably involved in installation and operational management (especially Business Objects; Crystal Reports; Proclarity)
Exposure to 64-bit hardware architecture
Exposure to 64-bit operating systems
Exposure to grid computing architecture
Understanding of webserver architecture; operation and administration
